So the Evil Post tells us that Tubbs is not joining us (probably Portsmouth)
Probably for for the best. He was so far outside our pay scale. So who is next on the radar?
Just hope we have people lined up and not leaving it till the last day of the window as usual.

I'm glad really. Teams on form. Scoring goals now too. Probably best not to rock the boat signing someone who would be on big money.

As Sir Alex Ferguson always said, strengthen when you are on top. A couple of quality additions to our squad could be massive.

With 2 weeks off, it would be a good time to work on getting understandings between our existing strikers.

Shame about Tubbs going to Portsmouth, would have been a great signing, shows how far we have slipped, now need to get realistic; lets hope Clarke can bring in his other targets who can imporove the small squad. Although,do nothing is not an option, I just hope we do not start pannicking and go for a couple in experienced kids out of say QPRs youth team, just to bolster numbers. I am not convinced Clarke has the network of contacts he purports to have. Hope I am proved wrong. UTG

Not too bothered to be honest. Don't like the idea of us throwing boat loads of money at one player. Another winger is what we really need.

Until he is holding a Pompy scarf above his head and the fat lady is singing - it ain't over.
So far it's just 2 local rags trying to sell a few papers.

And Pompey taking Bournemouth's cast offs will hurt their fans too.

Michael Gash has had his contract at Kiddy who I thought was a decent striker at this level, interested to see how he played for Nuneaton at the weekend?
Danny Crow and Christian Jolley are also available at Newport, all players experienced at this level but I don't know if that is what DC wants, reports online seem to change daily between Marcus Stewart and DC?

06 Jan 2015 20:21:07 Matt Tubbs has snubbed Southend, Luton and Portsmouth in favour of a move to Wycombe Wanderers. He has agreed terms and will sign a 2 year deal with the club.
I know this is from that Football Transfer Rumours website but that would be a real kick in the......!

Gash was rubbish to be honest, albeit in a poor Nuneaton team. He looks fairly overweight & sluggish as well, after the business with trying to get White fit for half a season I don't think we can afford to take that route. Surprising really he has quite a good rep in the conference.
