Sorry, but I can't agree. As you say, his injury was caused by him stepping on the ball and twisting. Could happen at Rovers or Man City. If Fulham were prepared to loan him to us before, there is no reason why they wouldn't loan him again. LDV himself would be made really welcome here and he sure knows it. From Rovers perspective, he would be a great addition. Knows the set up, knows the team, liked by the fans. However, with Jake Gosling coming into form, LDV would not be guaranteed a start + Balanta is coming back to fitness, so good competition for places. Talking of Balanta...how do people see him getting on here? I was very worried by his last performance. From what I have seen of him so far we have got what we were told we would get, a potentially talented player with a poor attitude. in fairness to him hes picked up 2 injuries which has restricted his chances here

Which was an overweight footballer when he joined us and someone who didn't give his all to chase the ball down in his previous game.

Didn't interpret it as a bad attitude myself GGMI, I thought it was purely down to the fact he has never quite been fully fit and thus wanted to conserve energy. Angelo has disappointed so far; admittedly he could do nothing about his torrid luck with injuries but upon his recent return he didn't set the world alight on the flanks when I thought he would do. Very rarely did he get the ball down and run with it, which is what I thought his game is all about. I am more than happy to trust DC on this and if AB gets some game time in the coming weeks then I hope he can show us what he's all about.

From my understanding we have suffered when forced to play players like Sinclair out wide. For me getting LDV back would be the biggest signing we could make this month and probably far more benificial than another forward right now.

We are suffering with a lack of pace at times, especially out wide. Gosling seems to be a bit in and out of the side, Martin and LDV have gone back to their parent clubs, there are question marks over Balanta's fitness, Sinclair is a lot better in the middle and Monkhouse (although playing well) is not a player who is going to beat a man with pace and trickery. A winger is a must for me in January although a striker would also be nice.

Come to think of it he's the only proper out and out winger we've had since Caroyal. One of the biggest reasons we went down last season was playing players out if position on the wings because we had no wingers. And plenty of whingers

He's spent the whole season playing on the wrong wing. Meaning he doesn't trust his right foot and so he moves inside a lot or cuts inside as soon as he gets it. We aren't therefore using the whole width of the pitch, which is a massive shame cos the pitch is in brilliant nick. What do you think ihate ? same with messi robben and hazard always playing on the wrong side and reducing the pitch by cutting inside even bloody ronaldo does it if only they played on the other side more and used the whole pitch!!! Is it their 'wrong' side though? I can't imagine Enrique, Guardiola, Mourinho and Ancelotti don't know how to get the best out of those players you've mentioned? Inverted wingers are a big part of modern football now, especially in the top echelons of the game. It's only really in the lower leagues where you get wide men who just hug the touchline anymore. IMO if you have a creative player like Ronaldo or Messi, you don't want to limit them to just running down the wing and getting a cross in. They have so much more to their game than that, and playing on the opposite side allows them to come infield and shoot, play a through ball etc. Gosling is one of our more creative players and has the ability to play that killer ball in the final third to open up a chance, so if you just stuck him on the left and got him crossing it in then you'd really restrict his game IMO.

my post was sarcastic, there is no wrong side,,robben prefers playing on the "wrong side" while della verde was happy to play either side,,,,obviously some players are uncomfortable on the "wrong side"
