What can we expect from Boreham Wood on Sunday?
More of a challenge than their league position or current form appears to indicate.
They have Won 5, Drawn 3 and Lost twice in AWAY fixtures this season.
Up front, 28 year old Tyrone Marsh, scorer of 69 in 286 will pose problems.
Alongside him, Bulawayo born Lee Ndlovu, scorer of 6 in 16 this season is also sharp.
This team beat Blackpool, Wimbledon and Bournemouth in a great FA cup run last season.
Off the pitch they are a well run and ambitious club whose manager, Luke Garrard, has been in charge since October 2015.
If football was played on paper.............

Not worried in the slightest 'however' their manager seems to be very good, I listened to him on JT last night he has certainly done his homework on us.

Flippin eck, he certainly has done his homework! Proper statto. If he's half as good tactically and motivationally as he is in his preparation, he could go much higher in the pyramid. I definitely think they'll give us a good game, but we should have enough to see out a win.

Yes very good, the only factor he did not comment on was Rovers 12th man!

Their keeper Nathan Ashmore is widely regarded as one of the best in the National League and If selected Bruno Andrade has ability, while the two Sheffield United loanees Zak Brunt and George Broadbent are good players. Not sure if he's been given permission to play, but we were interested in Colchester loanee Cameron Coxe when he was at Cardiff.

Class act is Garrard and slightly surprised he's not been picked up by a club in the Football League

A fabulous interview by the Wood gaffer.
Knows his stuff. Knows BRFC inside out.
Deserves to get a league club at some point.
A MUST WATCH interview.

A very likeable bloke based on that interview I’m sure JB will have seen it and be well prepared. We need to be more clinical up top and no nonsense at the back. As will any cup tie it’s what happens on the day and we need to make sure it’s our day regardless of their 500 day trippers

What an interview.
His game plan is all out there to see though now so Joeys team talk is sorted 🙂 no pens, free kicks, corners and definitely don’t upset the referee into giving away dodgy pens.

This isn't an anti-Barton post by any stretch, but in terms of succession planning Garrard is certainly one I hope the board have an eye on.
If Barton left tomorrow he'd be my number one choice to replace, although obviously hope it's not a discussion we need to have for a while and that Barton's successor will potentially come from within.

This is how pre match interviews should be, we all know everything about our own team barring injuries, but it's the knowledge about the opposition which gives you an idea as to your chances of winning.

It definitely fills a bit of background in. I wonder if Shrews done as much in depth research? When and where to fall down etc.. Good interview from someone that comes across as knowing their trade and how to go about it. Also, I like he gives a bit of respect out that's earned in his view.... and hopefully of his team can deliver an honest account for themselves, it will lead to an entertaining encounter.
