Bristol Rovers are facing a battle to keep hold of teenage whizz kid Kofi Shaw with Premier League interest soaring.
Who gets the credit for his development? Should we play him to "push up" the price?

He’s probably a top striker that will get snapped up but then come back to us when he’s 53 and play as a fullback.

Watched Shaw play and score in the recent fa youth tie with Leyton Orient. Small right winger scored a terrific long range free kick. Took on the more physical defenders and was the stand out.

They’ve kind of become my 3rd team ( behind Rovers and Bath City ) because my mrs is from there and we go and see her family a lot. He looked decent but it’s a fairly poor standard and he would have had a normal job too because Merthyr are a tiny club these days and pay next to sod all. Edit : just looked him up and I’m getting him mixed up with a different Ex Gas from around the same era I think because there’s no record of him playing for Merthyr Pirate could probably help me out with this one. Also he’s done alright with his business selling 250,000 of his drink product since he retired.

I read online that Hunter went to university to study business and started a drinks company called Sip Shack / Rum Shack, supposedly available at various convenience shops. Fair play to him if it is in fact him, wasn't the direction some might have guessed with his reputation / disciplinary issues.

He's currently playing for Henbury in the Gloucestershire County League. Also, I could be wrong, but I think that Shaquille Hunter with the drinks company is a different Shaquille Hunter to the lad that was on our books.
