The next 4 league games going into New Years day will give us a great opportunity to see where this season could be going, with 4 winnable games
Charlton (A) Wycombe (A) Exeter (H) Chelts (H)
The first two, not places we typically get much but underperforming. Then 2 at home. What do you think we'll get?
6 points to keep us on track for a decent above mid table finish? 8-10 points to really make a statement that we are coming
<6 and we have work to do yet to ensure safety 12 and well...
I'm going for 7

I’m going for 8 points However it would be good if we can start the sequence off with a win at Charlton where we usually don’t get anything. Never a better opportunity as now

Head says 7, heart says 10. We have no reason to fear anyone and hopefully this can help us to push on

I think we are playoff bound! A couple of highly professional 0-1 away wins, a complete and total beat down of both West Country rivals, 12 points, nailed on! Now then, I seem to have misplaced my morning porridge with baileys 😃

As long as we are within 9 points of the play offs going into March we’ve got a chance. I’m happy with where we are now, knowing we usually build up a head of steam after Christmas.

And those points dropped at home when we basically had no defenders. I can’t remember which particular game it was but there was one where we were forced to play a back 3 consisting of two young fullbacks and a 38 year old midfielder. Every side gets injuries but it’s pretty unlucky to have them all in one area of the team at once.

We won at Wycombe back in 2018, august I believe it was. Two early goals from James Clarke & Millwall Tone. We then held on for the next 80mins for a 2-1 win.
Charlton I’ve been to 4/5 times, best I’ve seen was a 1-1 draw in the 2010/11 relegation season, Wayne Brown with a rasper.

All four games are winnable; looking forward to going back to the Valley on Saturday, historically not been a very happy hunting ground for the boys in blue and white, that said, expect to get 7 or 8 points over the Christmas period.
