No not for me. If you think VAR is bad when watching at home then its ten times worse when your actually at the game. The TV viewers get to see replays whilst everybody in the stadium is still trying to work out what they are even checking!
The new supposed semi automated offside system used in the World Cup hardly made things any quicker. Although at least a few minutes after the decision you get to see it on the big screen as well as other highlights. That's not going to happen at the Mem is it!
My biggest issue is that linesmen now get lazy and prefer to keep their flags down as they know the computer will do all the work for them. There's nothing worse than celebrating a goal only for it to be checked and given as offside a whole five minutes later!

Similar to when an assistant seemingly doesn't make a decision despite being closer to an incident. They're all constantly talking to each other anyway, just can't tell that when you're there.

Based upon the number of poor / contentious decisions we've been on the end of this season alone, I think VAR could be a benefit....BUT........ it should be operated similar to how it is in Rugby Union where they seem to be so much better and efficient with it.

I don't understand why on the one hand we're always moaning about refs, and on the other overwhelmingly rejecting VAR. Seems to me VAR is designed to address exactly the issues fans have with referee decisions. Whether it's implemented in the right way or could be streamlined are slightly different discussions. VAR in itself isn't the bad guy.
I vote yes.

VAR is a great idea in principle but sadly the FA/FIFA have managed to make a right pigs ear of it. It should never take more than a few seconds to view. The rule (I always thought) was that it had to be a 'clear and obvious' foul/error etc. If it takes five minutes to view then it obviously isn't clear and obvious and therefore they should go with the refs original decision. Maybe using the cricket system of the Captain of either team getting 3 goes at questioning decisions and once all 3 have been used ..tough! Exactly this. The current issue is where is the line between clear & obvious or not. You can't moved without feet on the floor, offside should be based on the feet only. Unless spotting something obvious the VAR team should just stay out of it. Other sports seem to have slightly different VAR usage. If in doubt, refs call - like cricket LBW. Ref 'Any reason I can't allow goal' - rugby. Team plays in Blue and White quarters - Goal head start, rush or scramble goalies allowed

There is something much worse………losing when a goal is allowed against you and was later proven to be miles offside for example.

I think I'm the only person that thinks VAR is good.
Key thing that needs to be communicated is at what points VAR will be invoked. Football fans need to then understand that.
The Harry Kane incident is an example, most England fans went off on one that VAR didn't award anything. Thing is, it was only checking if a penalty had been missed (that was to come later). Tackle was outside the box, ref didn't give a pen so no VAR interference. The correct decision.
Now, Kate was fouled outside the box. However looking at every single refereeing decision will make watching games tedious.
We have to agree what VAR should and shouldn't check.
In Rugby for example, it's about the question being asked.
"Was there a forward pass" vs "is there any reason why I should award a try" can give a different outcome.
We need to agree what VAR is for.
Referees in football seem to be knowalls as opposed to Rugby where they are happy to request help and are not arrogant that's like football refs.
How many times do you see the linesman look at the ref before signalling whose ball it is. That's because the ref has told them that they don't want linos that make decisions. sh**ty really.
