Can see it being called off, probably suits them to buy abit more time to get a new manager in. Touch & go for this game but I’m calling it as game on !

No idea when this is from or if they still have Matchsaver have just delivered Air Roller 8 Pitch Protection Covers to the famous Valley stadium, home of England’s Charlton Athletic FC. Charlton’s pitch covers protect their entire pitch so providing quick and effective protection against severe weather during the busy season. The covers arrived already attached to the air rollers so allowing for immediate deployment upon arrival. Nathan Chapman, Head Groundsman, Charlton Athletic FC stated: ‘At Charlton we are literally in a Valley and the temperature here can be 3 and 4 degrees lower than the upper street levels. These covers are easy to manage and quick to roll out. Previously we needed to get volunteer office staff to assist with pull on covers now my team of 4 can cover the pitch in under an hour with the Air Rollers’ Charlton Athletic are the latest club in a growing client list across Europe with clubs in Scandinavia, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK all using Matchsaver pitch protection equipment. Surely it would have been easier just to fit a boiler? What a bunch of 🛎ends.

Latest from Charlton regarding tomorrow’s match, which is a bit late for travelling gasheads, fingers crossed it will pass the morning inspection.

State they’re currently in I bet they’re trying really hard to get this one on!
Get us back down there in March when they have their s**t together and it’s an unwelcome Tuesday night in Saff London for our lads.

Surely a club that was Premier league only 15 years ago and Championship just a couple of years back have a stadium with undersoil heating and good pitch protection?

I'd say there's virtually zero chance of the day going ahead, given that even we've had covers for years you do have to wonder if Charlton have deliberately left it uncovered.

It’s being minus temperatures for days, no way it will thaw out in a few hours tomorrow unless it has been covered for the last week or so.

I can deal with the game not going ahead but the day - Armageddon? Come to think of it that did look like Bruce Willis in Tesco Express today- - -

With Collins, Finley, Loft and Rossiter all potentially missing the game, then I'm not sure it's to Charlton's advantage to get the game called off.

I think not covering the pitch when they clearly could have is an absolute disgrace and they should be fined for this. How did we manage to get 2 games on last week in very similar circumstances? Em we covered the pitch, this stinks! Who would have thought it the mighty Charlton running scared of the Gas.
