Hard to believe.
But accurate.
In the last 28 LEAGUE fixtures at Eastville , Twerton Park and The Memorial Stadium Exeter City have been winners just once.
That was on the 9th of April 2011 when they won 2-0.
They have lost 15 times and there are 12 draws.
This run stretches back to October 1931.
So just ONE HOME LEAGUE DEFEAT in 90 years against The Grecians.
Long may this sequence continue.
Equally, there are some depressing Away records at St. James Park.
For example, we have only been victorious in one league fixture in Devon since 1984.
That was a 2-1 win on the 29th of September 2012.
Similarly, we only had one victory in 24 AWAY matches between February 1922 and April 1950.
Overall there have been 95 meetings between BRFC and ECFC with both sides winning 31 times.
Of late the club has been breaking some depressingly long sequences but this is one sequence that we hope remains in future.

Was that the goodbye Marcus match? His last playing performance in league?
One of the few times I've stayed way beyond the final whistle for an away team at home..

Yes it was Strwarts last match for Exeter City 9.4.2011 one of the rare home matches missed since 1967 as was giving my daughter away at her wedding! I remember wedding guests keeping me up to date with the scoreline it was a really warm afternoon and evening.
