The start of season 2024/25, what would you prefer to be sat (safely stood) in - not a funding or sustainability arguement!

I would like a Brentford Community Stadium on the Fruit Market! A stadium needs to be part of the surrounding development and the Brentford solution is amazing for the space. I wonder how many people said the site wasn't big enough. Its a bold design.

Anything that actually looked like it belongs in the 21st century not the embarrassing tented rugby ground we have tolerated for donkeys years

Brentford was a new build so I don’t understand why it’s there TBH. A rebuild is not viable, Which leaves the Fruit Market pipe dream, but why settle for 20k. if we’re going to dream might as well dream big lets have a 60k stadium at the FM

The brentford option is knock down the mem and build something like that (17K cap, tight ground etc) in the same place. Sorry if it was confusing.

I am assuming we would be top of the championship with a premiership ready stadium packed with gasheads, however I would be satisfied with something a little more modest, Sorry I took the forget funding to mean if anything was possible. I voted for option B.

I'm torn between (a) just softening the blow/taking the heat off Dwane Sports for failing, (b) costs vs benefits were not as good as first thought and (c) an alternative came up offering a better deal. Mind you, didn't we go back to UWE afterwards?

Then 2017: “There were two planning permissions in the past for building and regenerating the Mem, it’s always been our fall-back plan. When asked if Rovers were now looking to forge ahead with a redevelopment of the Mem as opposed to looking at alternative sites for a new stadium, the Rovers owner said: “Yes – now it’s just regrouping and taking account of all issues that are needed to get this project – regenerating the Mem – up and running.” Most recently: Mem redevelopment "Not commercially viable, not operationally viable and a non-starter from day one" said Gorringe in his Gascast interview. A cynic might say they tell us what we want to hear at the time to placate the fanbase!?!? 🤷🏻♂️

Interesting. Despite the noise on here, the FM option is more popular than a redeveloped Mem

Any sort of concourse would be nice. It’s been 36 years. Must be our turn next.

Tried to edit to add but wouldnt let me Personally i dont see this as better (although as im coming west down the M4 would be personally easier) as there is nothing around there. Bit soulless for me. Needs to be captive for beer and food sales but walkable into somewhere decent (Glos Rd or town)
