We don't want a kneejerk to a bad defeat.
With Harry and Rossiter back and fully fit (and probably playing 4-4-2 which IMO suits our players), I think we will be safe with several games to play.
If we only sign one permanent defender who will be the main stay at the back in the next two seasons, and another loan will do me.
Perhaps Joeys words may inspire a positive reaction in some of the players who have not been performing recently as well.
We don't want to spend big money on someone who is injury prone or is just currently in the form of their life (but may not be able to keep it up) - form is temporary, ability is permanent.
Let's persevere and see what (both) Wards can do.

A bad run now with all the teams below strengthening could get very nervy quickly

Collins about to leave for peanuts according to Twitter, I’m panicking! Why would it be peanuts? Min £2m or £3m or we hold on to the summer. No need to panic.

With a fully fit rossiter and gibson your right we would stay up comfortably. However reading between the lines rossiter won't play again this season and Gibson is highly unlikely to play more than 50% of the remaining games. That makes today vitally important and cause for a minor panic.

If Collins does go .... that is one of the bottom four spots booked by us.
We have one part of the team that is working well and we lose it - no time to get a proper replacement in because no work has been done to identify possibilities and a young lad on loan needing to try to keep us up.
Why is it we get to L1 and commit suicide time and time again.

If he goes to Peterboro and we dont sign a replacement, then I will meltdown too

I feel like we’d get that fairly easily in the summer, perhaps more if he hits 40 goals and assists which he is on course for. I can’t see the logic in selling him now when we haven’t assured survival and he’s comfortably got a lot of contract left to run.

Unless they agree to loan him back to the end of the season!

Slight over exaggeration I think. You’ve no idea what work has been done neither do I, unless you’re itk. But tbf with Marquis, Loft, Collins and Coburn filling our forwards it really hasn’t been the priority has it. Defence and midfield far more of a priority. Keeping those 4 would make getting a forward a but pointless. Best not to panic! UTG!

This is classic deadline day, not even 10am and Collins has been sold for peanuts, we've failed to replace him and are now guaranteed to go down

A bad run now with all the teams below strengthening could get very nervy quickly Of course anything can happen at anytime anywhere. However: putting it into context. If we were to be relegated it would be more astonishing than the run last year for autos. This time last year we were 13 points behind autos with 2-3 in hand. Currently we are around the same but they only got 1 in hand ( 4 of the 5). A win on Saturday would mean we need 10 points from our remaining games . That would qualify as one of our worst runs in history if we went down.

It looks like Tom Lockyer will not be signing for BS3 in this window.
Has anyone started compiling the valuable list of players who have agreed to mutually terminate their contracts?
Can the very best bargains occur when the window is closed?
