Only Rovers fans can all get excited about a temporary stand that won't happen but it takes our minds off a whole stadium that won't happen I suppose. Not after an argument, but you said you wanted us to lose and now don't care otherwise. Presumably, you're not one of the Rovers fans you talk about? Just taking the pish mate. I don't care either way.

Why has Karim Mardam Bey departure from the board and club only appeared as an after thought at the bottom the published recent minutes of a board meeting two weeks ago. Surely he deserved an announcement from the club in his own right. He was business development director,so is there no more business for the club to develop ? I would guess it's at the end of the Notes, as he tendered his resignation at the end of the meeting. Maybe he's tying up loose ends and hasn't actually left yet? These are notes from the meeting, not the formal Minutes.

Does anyone know anything about the African football team Rusinga Rovers who the Rovers are going to supply kit to? I couldn’t find any details of such a club on Google. Are we hoping to get players from this team?

Nothing to get particularly enthused about here as far as I can see, but some Rovers fans are easily pleased. As someone else mentioned, very "vague" and what was the update "provided on the club’s ambitions for a new stadium, which remains a priority"??

I wonder what those minutes would look like if Wael didn’t come in and we were still owned by Higgs?

I can't recall a previous board issue notes from a Board meeting.Found the insight good to read and shows transparency and good to read the facts and successes have been highlighted. The proposal for a increased capacity South Stand is another positive. Prefer club to stay at Mem than a soul less stadium at the Fruit Market.

The CEO has already said staying at a rebuilt Mem "Not commercially viable, not operationally viable and a non-starter from day one" If the increased capacity is anything like the embarrassing monstrosity eyesore family tent they erected on the terrace last time, they can stick it.

The East Grandstand at German club Holstein Kiel. Shows what can be constructed in 4 months including being safe during matchdays.
Not only for our South stand but could also be adapted for the East stand at the Mem.
Edit: Interesting to note the height of that stand was 22metres. How high is the East stand ?
Edit:edit: seems to have cost €9million including demolition and removal of existing terrace.

I really don’t think Karim (who joined with Wael because they’re mates) leaving the board is particularly groundbreaking news. They have probably not announced it in a larger way because they expect no one cares or has any idea what he’s been involved in anyway. His main background was marketing fwiw and I believe he was just there to give Wael some oversight as he got to know the club. I expect he’s been involved very little in recent times given we have now built out solid media and sales functions within the club (e.g. Head of sales David).

Btw nice to see these minutes, an extremely basic but positive thing to do. Unsurprising that stadium progress (if we can call it that) would be confidential. At least it was mentioned!
South stand sounds interesting for sure.

It's now so depressing, redevelopment of the Mem is apparently impossible despite other clubs seemingly able to come up with imaginative solutions to their stadium issues and we have zero evidence of any possibility of a new stadium. The futures looking bright then

People have asked for news and transparency for some time and we had a few interesting snippets included, so a good thing to do and a move in the right direction in my book.
It has to be mitigated though, as this report follows months after the euphoria of promotion and one of the best climaxes to a season ever, so that has led to extra STs and general sales.
I daresay any reports issued in 6 and 12 months time, if we are ensconced in mid table with no cup runs, may be a bit different.

Yes, the statements are vague and with an understandably positive spin put on them. This overspend on the first team squad probably more than wipes out the gains made in other areas and explains why we didn’t spend more on wages in the January window. FFP is a big issue for us and a lot of teams at our level. I’m not unhappy that there may be some book-balancing at play here. We need a sustainable future.. Obviously just hope we have enough to maintain our league 1 status. I think we do, but following a derailment we need to get the train back on the tracks sharpish.

A win ,a clean sheet,a new stand, would settle for any of these but after recent performances I don't have the desire to travel to Lincoln.

Has Micheal Cunnah sorted UWE out for us yet? He left and also resigned his directors role. There were rumours that he put in a report that showed the build in a positive light but nothing was shown that could back that up. He did not stay long but i am positive you knew that
