Indeed And this won't help "costs were also higher than budgeted, largely down to an approved over-spend on the first-team squad". Yes, the statements are vague and with an understandably positive spin put on them. This overspend on the first team squad probably more than wipes out the gains made in other areas and explains why we didn’t spend more on wages in the January window. FFP is a big issue for us and a lot of teams at our level. I’m not unhappy that there may be some book-balancing at play here. We need a sustainable future.. Obviously just hope we have enough to maintain our league 1 status. I think we do, but following a derailment we need to get the train back on the tracks sharpish. Is FFP a big issue for us and a lot of teams at our level, as It never used to be? Are the rules still the same as this? "FL Turnover figure includes donations from the owners to the club and injections of equity. Loans from club owners are understandably not included in the Turnover figure as these would result in growing up club debts. In League 1 and League 2, a wealthy owner can therefore fund the club spending in a way that is not permitted in other divisions" www.financialfairplay.co.uk/scmp.php
