Bare with me on this one, clutching at straws with no game to chat about this wk.......
It was cool and spontaneous but thinking back thought it was stupid that a few people left ther torches on in BT end when ellis & taylor (maccs & turkey games) took ther pens?!
it didnt stop them scoring but thought it could have had the off putting effect we try to do when opposition take thers like waving and shouting, thoughts??

I said exactly that to my mate.
What kind of Dickhead waves a torch about to distract our own player?

At the Torquay game, I don't think anyone had their torches on until after we scored the penalty and we actually had something to celebrate.

The players know it's not a thing against them. So many said on twitter how amazing and atmospheric it was.

The rules for penalties are unwritten but very clear nonetheless, you distract the opposition as much as possible and stand perfectly still when it's our own pen. Crazy behaviour to shine phone torches when we're taking a penalty.

Did think it was silly at the time, but thinking about it I wondered if it was actually just people trying to video the penalty and their phones turning on the light because the video camera was running ?

I said exactly that to my mate. What kind of Dickhead waves a torch about to distract our own player? true. you wouldn't catch me doing that. I was too busy firing up the laser pen.
