That must be the worst away day ever! FGR! No cover, nearly an hour for food, crap toilets and a poor sized exit! Glad we don't have to go next season! Fingers crossed!!

One turnstile, one window serving food, and one tent with holes in the roof serving hot drinks that tasted like sh**. Made the mem look like wembley.

A shame. I come from an era a roof was a luxury!
Things have moved on but I think that's the way fgr want it, to make it as cr@p for you and I as possible...... for a couple of hours just bear with the weather conditions and I'm sure most can go that long without food or drink?
I see it as an achievement as I helped defund (spent nothing at the ground except admittance) FGR as I have the Mem..... there are plenty of external competitors, fund them instead and get an umbrella.

I was in the seated area. They didn't really advertise that there was an exit there, straight out and then behind the terrace to join the masses. I found it by just being nosey. Not sure if the 'seat stewards' let people from the terrace out that way. They didn't really advertise that where the Brewdog beers and Quorn were being dished out was a neutral area. Only a few FGR fans were in there. The same as us not really advertising our fan zone to away fans. Seems a shame as Nailsworth pubs were shut but no issues around the ground or people with tickets in the wrong end. We can behave. I liked the Quorn vegan Buffalo wings (I'm not vegan) A few people didn't get my sense of humour when asking if the food was vegan or the buffalos were vegan and they just cut their wings off

Hopefully we never play there again, the facilities make the Mem look state of the art!

I think there is a lot to admire about the achievements of FGR in climbing the football pyramid. It would seem that the 'infrastructure' and associated 'facilities' have not kept pace with on field progress but i would imagine they are a little surprised at the speed of their rise and are not sure a) if they can stay there and b) with that uncertainty comes reluctance to go to far down the road of infrastructure investment. The away day at FGR is viewed ,i imagine, a unique experience by many fans, unlike any other away day and accordingly all the more memorable . I would imagine fans visiting The Mem would feel the same about their visit here, unique ,unlike most grounds they go to and something a little different. i have no animosity towards FGR, their fans must be pinching themselves at their rise but there is only so far they can go and maintaining their league status over the next decade or two would be a considerable achievement, the current status of our two clubs may be equality but there is a huge gap in the 'potential ' of our two clubs, there in lies the difference, snag is we have talked about 'potential' for ever and continue to do so, up the 'Rovers'.!

Have you missed that Dale Vance has advanced plans to build an Eco Park which includes a new all seat stadium and training facilities? With work planned to start on the latter this spring.

Starting drilling at the site very recently to check the ground for foundation purposes. Still an eco park but now pretty much all stadium related and the eco business park bit no longer part of the plans. No bigger than current ground though

Sounds like plans are afoot to update facilities without going overboard on capacity, think they realise that they are only ever gonna get 3/4000 and new stadium will serve them well even if they drop back down the pyramid, same capacity but a better fan experience, seems a sensible strategy for them.

In 1975 Forest Green were playing in the Gloucestershire County league while Bristol Rovers were playing Manchester United in the old second Division now championship..all these years on both are competing in the same division which Rovers have risen from nowhere do you think?
