The whole Kenneth situation was just bizarre, he looked immense on his debut and I couldn't believe we'd signed a player of that quality. Obviously I was right haha

On paper should of been one of the best players we've ever signed, unfortunately his injuries got the better of him and he had a lot of issues such as his GF going to court, fans on his back and lots of set backs on his road to recovery.

Signed for a semi professional outfit in Australia, as Rich would say, "hardly groundbreaking!"

Garry, bbz, the Aussie semi-pro league is not "a decent standard" but good on you for trying.

I think the biggest problem wasn't his ability or his attitude it was his weight. He kept getting injured because he couldn't turn. If he'd lost a stone or two he'd probably have played more and played better.

Once he got fit wasn't it just the one bad knee injury which finished him off at Rovers? Anyway how can he put himself in the "shop window" playing 1000's miles away from home!

Loved the diagonal switch and 9/10 they came off.. As said could of been one of our best players but shame it didn't come off.

Having injuries is one thing, being fat is another. Kenneth was fat even when he was injury free!

Out of interest, what level would you compare this to in the UK? I recently spent 3 weeks with the in-laws in Perth and despite exploring the city extensively (well, I needed some 'me-time'), I never saw anything or spoke to anyone that mentioned Perth Glory who (now I've checked) are currently top of the A-League.

I'll ask around. I have no idea really. I would guess Keynsham Town, Yate, Paulton standard? Western League, or whatever it's called these days. A bit strange there was nothing about the Glory around Perth, although it is a big AFL city. But I would have thought they'd be advertising the games at least. Here on the Central Coast there's adverts for the Mighty Mighty Mariners everywhere. But they're the only national sports team on the coast though. Let's hope it stays that way. Rugby League can get f**ked. By the way the A league is on BT sport. I'd be interested to know if anyone watches and what they think? When my Uncle used to visit and we went to games he reckoned it was worse standard than the Rovers, but he loved a good moan. I thought the Mariners would be able to give The Rovers a game though.
