Seeing as were all but playing League One football again next season, I’ve been keeping a keen eye on what’s going on at the bottom of the division above and the prospective away days in 23/24.
I saw plenty of mention in another thread of Blackpool, Wigan, hopes of Reading, Cardiff/Huddersfield, but QPR seem to have escaped a lot of peoples notice.
Ainsworth is having a nightmare start, 6 losses in his first 7 games, QPR 1 win in 18 games. They are sinking at a crazy rate, must’ve been 20 years plus and their Holloway days since they last played in the third tier. Definitely not an away day I’d look forward too mind, I’ve done the away end at Loftus Road in lower and upper tier. Horrendous view, awful ‘concourse’ and a general all round crap time for visiting supporters.
Hard to call at this stage, but I’m predicting Wigan, Cardiff & the Rangers to join us next season.

I have lot of Cardiff fans as friends and they are worried. An absolute banger of an away day, just the right mix of menace and good humour for me.
Hope they stay up though.

Reading’s last two matches are Wigan (H) & Huddersfield (A) Some really decent ends to the season coming up in basically every league from Prem to L2!

I don’t want QPR to come down, simply because I can’t abide Ainsworth and his tactics and it would be an absolute sh** house of a game.

QPR have just 2 wins in their last 23 games, I can't see Ainsworth turning their form around now, Reading have slightly better form so might just stay up with Wigan and Blackpool already looking likely to return to L1 next season.
Warnock's done a remarkable job if he keeps Huddersfield in the Championship.

I like Loftus Road. Fans close to the pitch and a good atmosphere. Easy to get to and a lot of player links between our clubs

I have no preference to who falls through the trap door just want to see Rovers in the Championship. An abysmal history for our club.

It's looking like Wigan, Blackpool and QPR.
Surprised OP thinks Blackpool will stay up, they look dead and buried unless they have a massive new manager bounce.
Warnock's working his magic at Huddersfield.

Gotta say. Hope Rochdale or Hartlepool survive at the expense of Crawley!

Grudging respect maybe, but that result was the most painful to take as a Gas fan.

Nice o p. You have to write off Wigan.
But, if QPR or Reading or Cardiff follow, that's a good return on 2 out of 3 less travelling and new stadiums to visit in the League for a generation.
I admire GA, but instinctively don't like his football. I always thought it was a strange appointment, as QPR are always trying to be a flair playing team.
Anyways.... apart from the championship trap door, it looks more obvious Leyton Orient, Northampton and Carlisle might join us too.
So that's 4/6 southern, less travelling for next season!

Since Alfie joined them, Mansfield are in a rich vein of form.
I think Alfie has scored 4 times for them already, plus Ollie Clarke and Hirem Boateng have also been on the scoresheet recently.
Would be a good shout to win the play offs.
(I hope we installed a promotion sell on clause for Alfie!)

At the other end of the spectrum, neighbour is a Notts County fan who are neck and neck with Wrexham to get promoted. One team only automatic and the dreadful new play off formulae is a nightmare.Full houses, superb ground and I ran the line at Meadow Lane when they were in the old first division.Got smaller crowds then!!!! Do hope both them and Wrexham come up.Nail biting times.

Mansfield away at Colchester united last game of season...do you think Alfie will enjoy relegating his former Boss

Mansfield had a big wobble recently including a thrashing at home by Salford but seemed to have pulled things around. Somebody pipping Northampton again on the last day of the season would be fun!
