A big question is... how much did the new investors spend buying new shares?

It's the club's big dilemma isn't it? Unless this geezer is going to spend his own money building a ground - and judging on the Radio Bristol interview, that's not the plan, we have 3 choices: 1. Sell Mem, buy land, build ourself - would have a gigantic funding shortfall that would not be filled by commercial finance, so you're looking at a Wimbledon style club bond and/or a crowd funder to end all crowd funders. 2. Redevelop. But the finance problem as above is still there, the site is tight, and the neighbours Dam despise us. 3. Sell the Mem and get in on some sort of lease deal. All depends on the terms. Coventry were paying £1.2m a year and getting no matchday revenue. We would've apparently got no matchday revenue at the UWE, so even if the rent was £0 we'd have been getting pumped. But it's all dependent on the deal. And who owns the freehold. A 999 year lease on a peppercorn rent based on the fact that our fans will spend spend spend at the rest of the complex? Sign me up. For some reason this seems to be the blind spot for supporters. The FM is a nice idea but there is no finance in place or any prospect of any such finance. Our new owner, like our last will happily sit in on the odd meeting with BCC and Conygar to keep the option open but it's become apparent there's no finance option open to us other than selling up everything to go back to the Eastville Greyhound Stadium days. Now that interest rates look to be remaining high for several years to come the situation is even more untenable. It's sad to see a club with potential facing the problems we do with regards to a stadium but the new owners won't be the ones to solve that particular problem Do you walk around all day with a dark cloud hanging over your head hence your forum name? It's clear from your previous posts like the rest of us you've no real idea what's going on but just like to put a negative twist to it.

How much have the new Investors invested buying new shares? If it's tens of millions then add the value of the Mem and perhaps we might be getting close to the cost of a new stadium?

We don’t yet know where or how he intends to invest. It could be Wael deals with the playing side while he deals with infrastructure.

His interview at the weekend certainly made it sound like investing in the training ground and academy was a main target. Joey in his post match radio interview tonight also mentioned that.

The Mem is worth tens of millions, the training ground would have a value and the club has no debt. New shares were created for the investors to buy a majority shareholding. How much did they pay for the shares?

Not just small housing projects either. They have built shopping malls, hotels, fancy office building, residential townships, housing projects etc. How does he manage to get all that built, without money? Plus none of us know exactly how much money Wael has. He had enough to write off £20 million.

This will be alot of people's last hope to see us in a new stadium, I'm sure when the plans come out it will have transport details aswell, yeah I'd have liked Filton but that isn't happening so the fruit market is our best chance and I for one will be very happy if it happens and I live in Bradley Stoke but I won't be complaining

How much did they pay for the shares? The shares were in DS and the figures aren't in the public domain as far as I know. Being a private company it would be for the relevant parties to decide.

The FM is right in the middle of the city by Temple Meads and part of a huge regeneration project, in my view it's pretty decent if the planning is right.

Do you walk around all day with a dark cloud hanging over your head hence your forum name? It's clear from your previous posts like the rest of us you've no real idea what's going on but just like to put a negative twist to it. And also ignoring the fact that Hussain has already stated Conygar will build the stadium in exchange of the Mem. The Mem in exchange for a lease, so as the poster above says just like the Eastville Greyhound Stadium days. The mystery is therefore why was the same deal a problem for the club at UWE but its not at the Fruit Market? Please no one come out with the we would have been entitled to zero matchday revenue at the UWE line without referencing exactly the source of this incredulous claim.
