Like many I received a feedback survey for the first game of the season.
I filled in my observations about the outside burger van situated in the south west corner for those in the WE.
I pointed out that no pies , pasties etc and no hot drinks were available from this outlet.
Lo and behold had an email tonight from Tom Gorringe. He said they had been trialing various catering options in all parts of the ground, but stopped short of saying whether the lack of the previous items mentioned would be available for us WE imcumbants.
He went on to say a new fan zone would be situated in this area when the new south stand is in place and several offerings would be available in this area.
When that will be is anyone’s guess at the moment.
Well done to Tom though for his very speedy response to my survey form.

Looks like we're starting to put the infrastructure in for better days!Really looking forward to the next few years, exciting times!

Yes you can if you fancy walking the full length of the pitch with your drink/pasty behind the west stand and then walk back towards the tunnel on the west terrace. Instead of relocating the kiosk at the south west corner it’s been totally removed and the bar kiosk is no longer there. There was a large burger van, cheapest item a hot dog £5.50 and no hot drinks whatsoever in their place. |

I too filled in a feedback form after the Barnsley game and had a response from Tom Gorringe timed at 01:50 hours after the Charlton game!
It was a point by point and carefully considered reply to all my points. One of which was about the the pasties at the end of the West Stand (dry and burnt again) and how slow the queue had been moving (so that people gave up). This had also happened at the Chesterfield game on the East side. The club is losing money here as people aren’t bothering. Improvements are planned I was told. I was also told the season tickets will have additional options next season and should be issued sooner. Yes please (but like the new stadium, I’ll believe it when I see it). You have to be an optimist to support Rovers for 61 seasons but it also makes you a cynic.

I liked JBs summing up after the game and hope he learnt. |
