Topper funny you mention CT slipping over, Oxford absolutely drenched the pitch Pre kick off, we had players slipping over all over the place all game.
I think by them a brilliant tactic, I’d love to know if they wore longer studs but pre game, the sprinklers were on flat out

Fanboy, where did I say useless DOF? I questioned them and we sold Loft as well. Let’s say we signed JCH, we’d only have him and Marquis, do you think on a £4.5 million budget (Barton said you need this for top 6) we should have have 2 strikers, where is the balance of the budget? We have two CB’s injured, Wilson and Crama, it’s easy to get two strikers injured, it could be Martin next week. Also you might want to play two up front in one game, where is the sub to take one off? Trolls had 5 on his list, Dunford went in the car on got the 5th choice one. It should have been two strikers with Loft going as well and one with pace. Squad imbalance is terrible for our budget, someone neglected the strikeforce Collins played in the centre of attack in the last 4 months of our league 2 promotion was fantastic and scored many goals and Scott Sinclair has played there a lot in his career and scored many goals. So we started the season with 4 players who can and have played there and now loft has gone and Martin ( almost certainly an improvement on loft ) has come in. Obviously with Collins or Sinclair in the middle we’d have to cross less high balls in to the box than with Marquis or Martin in there but some of the best football I’ve ever seen us play had us doing that less than two years ago. It would have been nice if we’d got JCH but we didn’t we got Martin and he’s got more experience and is gradually getting fit having started the last two games. I don’t think the summer recruitment has been bad in any position although I was expecting Cox to be a better shot stopper than he is.

To be fair that's a decent response to the needless 😂 by Hogg?

Thought we were unlucky, bossed it first half not so good second, why do we do stupid petulant things like kicking the ball away, and cheap dissent, which ultimately lead to dismissals. Not so disappointed created quite a few chances, not our day today. We will be there or thereabout at the end of the season. I’ve read a few people criticise Jevani for kicking the ball away, I thought the yellow was very, very harsh while watching yesterday. Just watched a replay this morning and the lad had ABSOLUTELY NO CHANCE of stopping executing his shot, the whistle blew as he was shooting! So when posters say he was stupid and petulant they are way wrong 👍🏾

Watched with a mate who used to play in the prem and thought we were way ahead of Oxford and really impressed with the squad assembled by Barton. As Connor said exciting times ahead and 99.9 percent of the fan base is onboard with the journey

Very harsh. ps it was a bloody quality finish as well !

Also we were 1-0 down so why would brown have kicked the ball away all of that distance to waste time ?? !! It was a shot because he didn’t think he’d done anything wrong and had a chance to score. Hard to understand almost everything the ref did yesterday tbh he was awful.

Surprised we only had 6 subs on the bench again yesterday.
Thought Gordon would have been included as he was on Tuesday.
Unless he is injured?

To be fair that's a decent response to the needless 😂 by Hogg? You’ve missed the point….it’s not their assistant. It’s just a random fan with the same name. Being picked up by a load of big accounts now. Another big embarrassment for him and the club this week. Ho hum I guess. Look forward to what’s to come next week.

But having booked a player you'd then think there would be some tolerance before they gave a second yellow.

Think vast majority of Rovers fans would prefer to focus on what was it seems , a very good performance, apart from result, and are greatly encouraged by what they are watching, a few would prefer to look for the negatives about the club and JB, i suppose that's there prerogative and we have to put up with it, me ? well as the song says you gotta ' ACCENTUATE THE POSITIVES', each to their own.

Potentially worse if he stayed because its unlikely we would have signed Martin

To be objective, I think the manager has built a cracking side and we will go onto have a good season. But stick him in front of his Twitter account and he's an embarrassment and a fool

Apparently a newbie - do you intend to post anything positive any time soon? Just looked at your posts - even yesterday all your posts were negative about our football team. You’re not a BRFC supporter are you- just a feeble attempt to be a wind up merchant.

It was also natural instinct, any striker would shoot like that on impulse and that set the referee up for ruining the whole game.

In that case, you get a sniff we've got a wrong un ref (again) and take extra care not to put yourself in a position to be booked for a second time.. So basically you want players to never commit a tackle once they get a yellow just in case they commit a foul? Nope. That's not what I posted at all. Context. You're on a yellow with a (dodgy) ref that gets his cards out more than Paul Daniels did to impress Debbie McGee, you have to be clever and pick your challenges.... especially in a part of the pitch that don't mean jack. If you can't remain that disciplined after a harsh yellow (imo) than either don't challenge or face the consequences if you mis time. JB isn't renowned for timed challenges. He left himself open. The team paid the price because his sending off went a long way to us not winning that match when we were in the ascendancy, and handed the initiative back to Oxford. If he would have stayed out the challenge, the ball and player were going no where, and we'd have had full team for large chunk of the match. A better chance of a return. Context.

It was a harsh booking but I’ve seen that happen this season on numerous occasions and I’ve seen 7 live games this season, PL and League 1. Of all the bookings I think it was the harshest but had the most impact. I thought the whistle went earlier but it is what it is, unfortunate for us, fortunate for them because he was a threat to them. UTG!
