Maybe we could 'team up' with this committee for mutual support?

It's a shame so many people think Sainsburys are an unbeatable monolith when in reality supermarkets are demonstrably struggling in the current market and place a premium on public trust. They will not want a fuss caused about this. Just look at Tesco squirming in the face of their current news coverage.
I really think a petition at least would be a good shout. It has a good chance of hitting the local news.

I agree and think if we copy their flags/banners this can be become a national public slogan against any negative action taken by Sainsbury in the future - can see the press buying into this slogan

Okay I'm gonna go ahead and make one. I've stolen Gasoline's wording here. Does anything need to be added do you think?
- we believe Sainsbury's and Bristol Rovers entered into a contract in good faith - we believe that Sainsbury's are not fulfilling their contractual obligations - we believe that they are using their position of power as a big corporation over a small company whereby they believe we will not have the financial power to enforce them to fulfil their obligation - as such, as a stakeholder in that small company, I will no longer shop at their stores until they have fulfilled their obligations

There will be others - like myself - who are not 100% sure we should go down this route... YET. If others do feel the same and, as a result, the petition doesn't receive huge backing, that could actually go against us. I think we should hold off for now.

I can't understand why you'd be against doing it now, while the issue is in the news but not later when everyone's moved on tbh.

Why do we contribute hundreds of thousands of pages bemoaning our circumstances and how such a well supported club can be in such a bad place, then as soon as it's suggested to do something everyone's like "nah, better not".
Guess we're about to get the stadium we deserve. Cheerio.

Yeah, I feel a bit like I'm expected to punch some drunk bloke down the pub coz some other drunk bloke says he started it. When really, they're both drunk blokes down the pub*. *Obviously they're not really drunk blokes and they're not really down the pub; this is merely an analogy.

When the news has moved on and less people will be googling Bristol Rovers Sainsburys.

Personally think it's a good idea, but one which should be passed through the club to understand any potential implications before starting. Last thing we want to do is jeopardise the pending court action. Isn't this what BSS is for?!

I couldn't sign a petition saying Sainsburys are treating us unfairly without knowing the details and whether they really are. fwiw, I've been boycotting Sainsburys since about 1994 after some poor customer service, though. I was gonna give them another chance and shop in Sainsburys Horfield.

At least wait until after the initial court hearing on the 23rd. We will then know if we are jstified in our claims
