Anyone else think we need some new chants?
Every song we sing we sang back in 2001... It gets so boring...
The odd goodnight irene or come on you Blues is about as good as it gets nowa days
Need something fresh
Something like this. Quick and simple. Gets everyone involved bouncing a long to it as well

We need the Palace song at the Mem, and a bit of jumping, that would look pretty decent at the Old Thorn End

I'm fed up of football chants full stop. Every team seems to sing to the same tune with different words. I like some of the random comical ones that one or two of our fans come out with now and again. There is a bloke with a beard in the blackthorn end who is quite good with a few funny ones.

Does this get done in England?
Where one side of the ground shouts "who do we sing for" and another part of the ground replies.
These lady gardens at Western Sydney have a shitload of supporters and it sounds great. They try to do it at the Mariners and with our meagre support it sounds pathetic.

Then the people in the stand would reply. It won't work will it

Without a doubt the most organised and loudest chanting at s football I can remember was at Ashton gate in around 1987 and it was very impressive but it wasn't Rovers or City it was when we played Swindle and lost 4-3 . Swindle had the park end and Dolman and we were given the east end and grandstand . The chant was " Lou Macaris , red and white army " but it was sang from the park end terrace first with all their fans pointing towards the Dolman and as soon as they finished the Dolman chanted back to and fro for a good 5 minutes a good 5000 of them , we were out numbered that day crowd was about 8000 if my memory serves me correctly . On a different note how come we don't sing the Molly Malone ( cockles and mussels) introduction to Goodnight Irene anymore? " in Bristols fair city where the girls are so pretty I first set my eyes on sweet Molly Malone , as she wheels her wheel barrow through streets broad and narrow singing clap clap. Clap clap clap Rovers" , Irene goodnight Irene, Irene Goodnight............

Try and get another part of the ground to reply. At the Mariners we've only got a three sided ground. The youngsters up the end behind the goal get the attention of one side of the ground and start. A few minutes later the other side of the ground will have a go. Am I right in thinking then that only the Blackthorn End, or whatever it's called these days sing? I mean our support at the Mariners isn't great, but the fans on both sides of the pitch will have a go.
