My mrs has put up a bird feeder in the garden and it seems to be attracting a lot of robins. I don't like robins for obvious reasons . so my question is this ; should I get rid of the feeder or the Mrs ?

Yep was my first thought.
My mum has a feeder in her garden which also attracts Robins. They feed for a while before being chased off by Rooks and Magpies (no not NU or Baggies fans)

Catch them - paint their breasts blue and release in South Bristol............and other suggestions that get us in trouble with the RSPCA Surely we could do something like that with genetic engineering without upsetting the RSPB or RSPCA I bet the Green Party would find a reason to object though (New campaign group for them Total Opposition Destroy Genetically Engineered Robins)

Hit him with a brick, then he won't sing anymore I thought it was 'set him alight' but my memory is not what it was. Too much cider (is this possible?)

Poor old robin. It's hardly his fault that he has been adopted by that bunch of scumsuckers.

For me it was 'if he won't fight, we'll set him alight' etc but I suspect both were probably sung at one time or another.

Simple really get some bread lace it with bicarb/ baking soda, let robin eat its fill and wait a while till it explodes, if yer mrs gets discombobulated by the robin abotoir in the garden, blame the kids, if the kids complain blame father xmas, they will be so annoyed they will not want any presents from the fat shithead next year( no not you the other one ) ,money saved by that can be spent on a nice hight powered air rifle or crossbow

Robins are actually beautiful birds. They are smart, brave and gregarious. They have a lovely song and are a joy to watch bobbing about the garden. I feel sorry for them that through no fault of their own they have become associated with a bunch of inbred knuckle draggers. Not that they need worry since they no longer feature on the badge of the cretins on the other side of the river. So, rather than persecute the poor bird, you should offer it pity and some lovely sunflower hearts. It's not their fault.

I'm always amazed at the inexplicable fascination red teams have with robins. Not only City, but Cheltenham and Swindon call themselves the robins. Apart from the lack of invention, they're cheery little chaps who don't exactly strike fear into the opposition's hearts. Why don't they all come up with something more original and suitable?

You couldn't be more wrong Mark. Robins are vicious and will fight to the death. They are very tough birds.

I'll take your word for it Hugo, but I still think a pirate makes a more stirring image. Although ours is rather an elegant dandy!
