Surprised how long Macclesfield's odds are as if they'd played & won yesterday they'd be still right on our tails, and we've still got to play them away? I wouldn't be surprised if they finished above Barnet.

from a neutral perspective Maccs at 9/1 is great value. 3 points behind us and 4 off the top with a game in hand, with us having to go to their patch .

I'm probably as concerned about Macclesfield as Barnet, if not more when form is taken into account, I'm hoping a gap forms between us before we go to their place!

Indeed, not sure this two week break will do them much good though, just thinking back to when we were on form but had two similar breaks and put in below average performances at Woking and Dartford. Still think Barnet will turn it around, their fixtures in March and April are far more favourable than ours. It's going to be tight.

Could be an interesting Saturday next week as Macclesfield face a tough away game at Eastleigh in front of the cameras, after their 2 weeks layoff, Barnet go to Altrincham who've only lost 1 in 8 at home having won 3 and drawn 1 of the last 4, whereas we face a Gateshead side whose recent home form is pretty poor.

Barnet 5/4 Rovers 6/4 Macc 9/1 Latest odds this morning from Betfair Just taken a large portion of what's available for Rovers from Betfair. There is no way Barnet should be favourites at the moment. EDIT: Rovers now favourites on Betfair... Macc at the start of the season were crazy odds for the title... hard game for them at Eastleigh, if you fancy them to take 3 points their odds will tumble... but even their fans fancy us for the league.

Barnet still very much favourites for me. Fixtures are far more beneficial in March and April, and they've had some tough games recently. The only potential plus point is that a lot of their games come against teams fighting for their lives at the bottom - often tougher on the pitch than on paper.
We'll need more performances like the one at Grimsby when we play Gateshead, Halifax and Macc if we're going to win it. Tomorrow might be more difficult than people anticipate too.

the history of the conference says the average points over the last 7 seasons of the teams finishing in the top 5 in the last 14 games is 33pts now all we need to do is be the average ie 58 plus 33= 91 pts job done !! Conference top 5 teams if you go by the previous seasons perform significantly better over the last third of the season up the Gas You heard it here Ist !

I bet Barnet drop at least 12 points from now til the last game . I actually think they'll drop 16 points ...... Can we go on a amazing run ? The beard and Easter will be back in a few weeks to bolster the final push . To coin a phrase ... It's "doable !" :-)

That late goal from Halifax is huge and I bet Barnet were devastated as they could have moved clear of us again. Friday if we win we could be top again and the pressure will be back on them.

Barnet will be feeling it tomorrow. Halifax will feel like a defeat for them so lets see how they respond. I reckon they will stutter again tomorrow.

3-1 is a pretty resounding win too - especially as it could (and should) have been more.
So much pressure on Barnet tomorrow. Even if they do win, I think they'll sneak it by a single goal.
I really believe we're going to do this. I really do.

I wonder how much that late equallizer at Halifax took out of them and Wellng are a hard side to break down. I bet Mad dog is struggling to sleep tonight.

Mad Dog strikes me as the type of guy you want on your side when you're the underdog; I bet he's the perfect motivator in those situations. However, as we've seen by Barnet capitulating, I do wonder how good even he is at handling the pressure when being favourites. I really hope Welling give it their all tomorrow. Just a thought; is it a derby??? Maybe not as far as Barnet are concerned, but maybe for Welling?? If so, that would surely make them raise their game???!

Barnet drew 0-0 with Welling at home last year... ![](http://forum.football365.com/images/smilies/picard.gif) No, you'll be jinxing the result posting that. I did wonder though if Barnet did get to League 2 (via the play offs after we've won the league) how will they do with the fair play thingy? Mind you I'm still a bit confused how Fleetwood got away with it.

I think their bigger problem is whether the council will let them play league football at the Hive.
