Yes
How many Prem managers could replace 75% of their team, pay the new players peanuts and still finish in the play-off's.

Yes!
After the end to last season and the beginning to this, I like many were not convinced. However, we have taken giant strides since then and although there is still room for improvement I think overall he's done a good job.
There aren't many Rovers fans that wouldn't have been happy with a play off finish at the start of the season. If we finish in the top 5 he should definitely be given the chance to continue as manager next season regardless whether we go up or not.

Great responses, glad so many positive replies. I brought up some never giving him a chance a while ago and the thread was deleted before I could quote, but since it's come up on the other forum
Coastal Gas: "Blimey there are some other doubters on here. I thought I was the only one. I know one thing for sure there will be a lot more before long. Personally I will never forgive him for destroying our League status ancd humiliating our club something he has continued to do this season. Out I say and sooner the better. Demand better Gasheads this is Bristol Rovers not Alfreton Town"
Where does that attitude get anyone?
Remember our previous managers. We are doing pretty damn well in comparison right now. Why take the risk? Shave off the first 3 games and we are top of the league.

It gets you all knotted up and angry can't enjoy games and on the other forum haha just jokes but seriously we are second can only do one better. It's crap we are conference but we are conference and we are second in the league what more do you want. First I suppose.

Yes. It's great to see so much positivity these days. We are less fearful of the future and many are full of hope for the opportunities ahead of us. Times like this do not require my motivational ramblings. The team and fans are whipped up about the future. So am I.

Whilst i dont see it as "groundbreaking" DC has done well and we are performing at the level expected so id keep him. We would take ages to recover if he left as we still have not built any structures at the club like scouting. DC is learning as a coach and manager and hopefully will only improve. I like the fact he had lots of trialists and 1 month loans to give players a go with minimum risk.
If we dont go up we need to be quicker off the blocks. That means the board working next years budget out much quicker and having a better pre season.
