I contacted the club to get 2 additional tickets for Saturadays match to find all stand seats sold out and other areas will be close to capacity ! 500 free children tickets have been taken up by 500 adults anyone know how many our capacity is without the away segregated area ??

bit OTT post IMO.
seats are often mainly sold out on a saturday game.
Terraces won't even be close to sell out. Not even close.

The club did mention at the AGM that we are looking at moving all away spectators into the Dribuild enclosure if we need additional capacity for home supporters in some of the remaining games.
That would enable home supporters to occupy the whole of the Tent End. I think the Eastleigh game is to early to implement it but feel sure this may happen for the Alfreton home game.

BTW- to answer the actualy question, look at the Mansfield att figure and minus about 700. That sold out for gasheads, and there were abut 700 Stags there.

Maths and memory are not my strong point so what is the capacity in our sections then ??

as much as I want something to be done, when needed, that seems deeply unfair. what about away fans who physically can;t stand? or young children? I doubt we have been to any away match where we haven't been offered ANY seats. Clubs have generally been kind to us this season; it would be a shame if we were unkind back to them. Could bite us on the bum one day. More sensible to offer a limited number of seats (e.g. 50) and make it AT for away fans who want to sit. and have a very small segregation net. OR give them some seats (at terrace prices) and NO terrace (if we are legally allowed to use that terrace)

As always, there is no easy answer, someone will be disadvantaged by any change.
Whilst I would not want to cause problems for deserving individuals, I do have a problem with Alfreton FC, not the supporters, as they refused to allow me to have hospitality at their ground as they were not prepared to allow away fans to "mix" with home fans in the hospitality area. That was a first in away games I have attended and had hospitality.
I'm sure the club would be happy to receive supporters views, if the last game is likely to be a sell out.

Let's just hope we have a reason to want a change here!
We have to win a lot of games before this becomes relevant!

Be very very suprised if terrace areas are close to selling out. But if they are we are looking at a 9000 plus crowd

Their facilities were shocking and access to the turnstile was via a muddy grassy slope. They are unlikely to bring more than a dozen or so and we could house them in 1 or 2 rows of seats if required surely? (insurance certificates permitting)

Let's just hope we have a reason to want a change here! We have to win a lot of games before this becomes relevant! just to be clear - on a personal level, I'm not suggesting we will be promoted, we will be having a promotion party vs Alfreton etc. I'm merely answering the OP question about EASTLEIGH, and some other issues around BIG crowds. We will be getting big crowds whatever happens. My opinion only of course. Barring a year 2000 meltdown (which I don;t think will happen), we will be fighting for a top 5 slot in the next 5 home games. One of those games is a Friday night game, when attendances have traditionally been good. One is an Easter holiday game. Weather getting better and season almost over.

For the coming home games I don't expect too many away fans:-
Eastleigh (who took 9 to Dover and 8 to I think Halifax) say 150 Aldershot on a Friday - 200 Chester mid table 150 Southport struggling 75 Alfreton struggling 35
So if we are still challenging BRFC really ought to get their thinking caps on to see if we could free up,extra space for home fans whilst ensuring the few away fans have sufficient and secure facilities - I would suggest making the away terrace as small as possible.

It is only the seats that are sold out ( apart from a few single seats in the south-stand ) . There is plenty of space available in all terrace areas.

Looking like a pretty big crowd though. How many pay on the day? Got to be a big amount. At a guess 2000. Anyone else got a more educated estimation?
