Afternoon. I may be wrong but I think Season Tickets for next season will be available to the usual priority crew as of Monday next week. Prices same as this season.
Apologies if everyone already knows this.
Bags.

Just got an email from the club. Here's a bit of it:
• Huge reductions on match day prices • Priority booking for Cup and Play-off fixtures • Option to pay over 10 monthly instalments • Entry to 23 League games • Priority booking for away games
Notice 'League' is capitalised. It's a brave prediction (or a typo).

The Vanorama is a league in its own right. We have enough problems already don't let's go looking for any more.

Strikes me you were trying to criticise the club again. The Conference is a League, as is the Premiership or Championship. Still the other forum has gone into overdrive moaning because students over 21 can't get cheap season tickets, so your moan is relatively low-key. My ST will only be £125 - some advantages being an old git!

I'm interested in pointing out minor pedantic typo's to fellow pedants, though. The Conference is a league. It's not a League. Were it called the Vananannanarmama League, it would be a league, and also you could refer to it as, say, 'the League.' Anyway, this is, as you agree, such a minor thing, not sure why you're bothering to play self-appointed Minister of Truth over it. Honestly, we're in the Conference and losing money. If I was really of a mind to criticise the club on here, and let's face it, they deserve enough criticism, I wouldn't be arsing about with trivial typo's.

Couldn't they use division instead of league or conference. I loved division football. It just not the same anymore since they changed it all around.

Come on play nicely, what is the matter with people at the moment, everybody seems to be at each other's throats at the drop of a hat, AF only cut and pasted something and pointed out about the league thing, I didn't see it as moaning, just a bit of controversy. Top of the league, so let's enjoy it, it doesn't happen very often.

And I've had several conversations this year with people saying 'they're not league games, they're conference games' which is clearly wrong. The issue is in the confusion between regular nouns and proper nouns, which is what my post was describing. However, that difference works both ways. The conference is a league, but it's not the League.

Are we sure? Isn't 'typo' a contraction of 'typographical error'?

All that says to me is that full paying supporters are subsidising other supporters Personally I think this is just as bad aswell. www.bristolrovers.co.uk/news/article/thank-you-season-ticket-holders-2331334.aspxlinkAm I not valued as a season ticket holder as I bought it later than others? I didn't agree with the offers for early season ticket buyers earlier in the season but I understood the logic behind it. This though just annoys me thanking me for my support and then kicking me in the balls on the next paragraph.

"Typos" shouldn't have an apostrophe. Are we sure? Isn't 'typo' a contraction of 'typographical error'? Yep. And in any case, it's pretty irrelevant, coz no one should expect a post on a forum to hit the high standards of a press release/advertising copy, etc. Also, the point of the post wasn't to take the water out of a typo per se, it was to share the amusing notion that the club was already selling tickets for League 2. I now regret making the joke, coz a, it wasn't that good, anyway, and b, this has turned into an English class.

Also, you might think, the fans who renewed after we were relegated, deserve some thanks for sticking by a failure.
