On the last away trip to Halifax I noticed some of the Gasheads wearing our colours but also supporting sweatshirts with the skull and crossbone with St Pauli F C they were talking in German but their English was good it turns out one of them has come over 16 times to watch us and the other was going to his Ist Bristol Rovers game They had flown over and driven up to Halifax joined in with all our chants and shared our emotions WOW ! Does anyone else know this group as they link up with us in St Pauli (German 2nd Division) because of our pirate emblem

That's so cool. St. Pauli are one of the clubs I want to visit if I get the chance. Look 'em up on YouTube they have amazing fans/displays.
Do you think there's an actual Rovers/SP organization or if this was just a couple of lads on a jolly. If there is an actual group it would be amazing if the club could sort something out for pre-seasons.

If anyone has the chance, go to a St.Pauli match. Unbelievable atmosphere and great group of fans. I lived in Hamburg (St.Pauli) for 7 months last year and went to every home game, loved it. Plus you can drink on the terraces!
Regarding some of the fans coming over, I got chatting to a few guys in a bar where there was a rovers flag present and they've been over a few times - I guess the same guys. Think there is a link with a group from the flowerpot pub?

interesting that the football club is just one of a number of sports covered by the St Pauli banner which include (according to Wiki) Rugby, baseball, bowling, boxing, chess, cycling, handball, roller derby, skittles, softball and table tennis teams.

Wir gehen wo wir woll'n Wir gehen wo wir woll'n Wir sind Bristol Rovers Wir gehen wo wir woll'n
Or:
Wir tut was wir woll'n Wir tut was wir woll'n Wir sind Bristol Rovers Wir tut was wir woll'n

I can remember a while back the online football game, 'play for your club', if Rovers got into Europe and St pauli were eliminated, then some of their players use to pile on points for the gas. Think they also used to help Celtic as well.

I want a Bristol Rovers cycle team jersey! This from 2002 will never be beaten. Hand-painted art. Possibly not a traditional cycling suit, but who's splitting hairs?
