Well, there's a qualitative difference between supporting City or Rovers and supporting City. Can you see what it is?
Sure if you get to Wembley they will do the same.
That's what they said. Did they do it when we got to Wembley, do you think? In any case, it's pretty stupid, even if we were going to Wembley the week after next, to make Gas support City one week and then make City support the Gas the week after. It just seems like a pointless non-solution to the problem that our city has had two underachieving teams for ages.

I can only imagine that whoever made this decision has no understanding of the rivalry between the two teams.
Surely it would have been better to have had a mufti day, and leave it up to children as to whether they wore the colours of any particular football team

I was bought a red England shirt for Christmas a few years ago. Wore it once and didn't feel right. It has been in a box somewhere since. I have some burgundy trainers which I have convinced myself are not red.

Coming back from Gloucester hospital today we noticed Bristol Sport's marketing machine are poisoning the area with a picture of them celebrating a goal with the slogan 'we have more points than Chelsea' enough to make you want to throw up.

It's pretty embarrassing tbh. Well there is a phrase along the lines of all publicity is good publicity (not sure that applies to many 70's & 80's TV and radio presenters) but this seems strange, not many people in Gloucester are interested in football as it's a rugby city, those that are tend to go to Gloucester City or the Villa. What was even more weird was another billboard from Bristol Sport further down the road promoting Bristol Rugby, in Gloucester! I'm sure if the locals could reach the board it would be removed PDQ!!! What's the next stop, we've got more points than Chelsea posters in Manchester, Barcelona, Madrid !!!

My old work did a dress down day in 2008 for their failure against Hull at Wembley. They encouraged us to wear red too.
I turned up in a suit and tie obviously

Tbf it's not surprising they've got more points than Chelsea as they've played way more games.

So I received this message from my sons catholic school yesterday. "Paint Bristol R*d' for Bristol C*ty's final at Wembley: your child may wear r*d tomorrow. When Bristol Rovers get to Wembley we'll support them too!" In the true spirit of being blue through and through he out right refused and has gone in today wearing blue. When his teacher asked why he was wearing blue and not r*d he replied that's like me telling you to become a Buddhist. Great response.

This is definitely debatable: Both teams are like a hedgehog: A Hedgehog is covered in pricks (points). Whether they have more pricks than Chelsea is open to debate as the London club have more fans. One thing is for sure, the difference between a hedgehog and Trashcan is that a hedgehog has the pricks on the outside.
