So I received this message from my sons catholic school yesterday.
"Paint Bristol R*d' for Bristol C*ty's final at Wembley: your child may wear r*d tomorrow. When Bristol Rovers get to Wembley we'll support them too!"
In the true spirit of being blue through and through he out right refused and has gone in today wearing blue.
When his teacher asked why he was wearing blue and not r*d he replied that's like me telling you to become a Buddhist.

yeah we had this thing in Sydney when the Swans got to the final. Wear red for Sydney. The woman I worked with went on about it. I wore a Rovers shirt. I told her I don't anything red.

I took my son along to his football grading a few weeks ago. Kids had Barcelona, Chelsea etc. He had the old 2002 stone Rovers away kit. He's never been to Bristol, but he understands. One poor kid had an Aston Villa shirt on.

The thing is you don't get to choose to be a rovers fan you get born into it, it runs in your blood and you can never change it. God only knows why anyone would want to anyway!!

Didn't even know/care the shiites were at wemberley. Agree, child abuse. How would they feel if they were told to sing 'the sash' on 12th july.

Seriously, any school that sets itself up to dictate which football team a child supports should be reported to Ofsted.

I think the point was to show support to bristol. The trouble is bristol is divided there's the intelligent blue side and then there is the .. well other side. In the message it said they would do the same for rovers when they get to wembley, I think I can speak for all gas heads when I say we don't want to go there, just the automatic promotion for us please.
Going back to the stupidity of it there were at least 6 arguments in the playground before the day even started and the school brought it on themselves. The only time there should be football in school is the school team. I hope it causes loads of disruption today and they never do it again.

I think the point was to show support to bristol. I think they'd either have to be extremely naive, or a secret sheed, to dream up this plan for their school.

don't see a problem with it, I would much rather see kids in Bristol supporting City or Rovers rather than United or Chelsea.

Sure if you get to Wembley they will do the same.
