I expect there will be lots of twists and turns as the finish line comes into view. Barnet look to be back on song with a stunning win Saturday and at the moment it looks down to us an them. Grimsby FGR and Maccs or Eastliegh look likely playoff candidates with either us or Barnet. We just have to keep the pressure on Barnet and hope, maybe Akinde will Twist a ligament diving for another penalty. Akinde scored from the spot but it wasn't him who was fouled in the area. Perhaps we win so may penalties is because we get the ball into the penalty area a lot more than other clubs. We have scored 30 more goals than Rovers so we must be doing something right.

That is exactly what I was saying if he had been fouled it wouldn't be classed as diving. More to the point is where would your lot be without Akinde's goals.

But it's still one down to one result that decides thechampionship winners, come May nobody will bother who scored the most goals it's all down to the most points that matters, unless GD matters then you only need 1 more goal than us not 30. I doubt you fancy your chances against Grimsby in a Play Off final but we have no concerns.

With all the pooh they have been sprouting, I'd quite like a rovers v barnet final if we can't go up as champions. Really embarras their club and fans.

Akinde has definitely been the difference - we have lacked a top goalscorer for most of the season which has cost us too many valuable points. I think Barnet will go up in top spot and they probably just about deserve it. I think they will win their remaining games or maybe draw just one but we will most likely slip up in one of our games. But I'd fancy Rovers over Barnet to go up through the playoffs - Lines and Easter could well be the difference especially if Sinclair is back for the playoffs.

I think whoever snatches 5th place will be favourite in the playoffs, especially if it's a team not currently in the top five. As for who finishes top, I think it's whoever blinks last...once teams drop points they'll drop more and fall away. Keep getting 3 points game after game and you'll finish top, and I think that goes for anyone in the top four...until we beat Macclesfield next weekend

Grimsby are hitting consistent form just at the right time, istm. thank god we beat them! That could be a crucial moment when we look back at the season. Yeah, I was thinking that innocuous 0-0 we had first game of the season could turn out to be the crucial result, one way or the other.

Grimsby's run-in isn't too bad...

Grimsby fans are saying on their forum that they want us to be Champions because they don't fancy themselves against us in a playoff semi-final or final. Also saying, despite that, a Wembley final between we two would be a great occasion. Which I think is true. Would you like to be at Wembley with 40,000 Gasheads and 5,000 Eastleigh fans, or have a virtual sellout against the Fishy Ones?

No present form it'll be 5,000 fans from Stroud rather than Eastleigh?

I think Grimsby will win the league.
Nail biting time in the playoffs await.

maybe Akinde will Twist a ligament diving for another penalty. I see the British olympic diving committee were at the hive yesterday to judge his latest attempt. I think it was gash (for a change) that won the penalty and not akinde.

If we were to end up in the playoffs, I would definately want Macc over Eastleigh or Grimsby.
Grimsby in the final would be a decent crowd, 60k or so
