Surely DC realises now that we need to actually go out and score some goals to win this league. Grimsby don't score that many goals but are 8 ahead of us but that number IS possible to catch up in 5 games with the right approach. The most annoying thing will be if we end up joint top with Grimsby and lose out on Goal Difference. I can accept Barnet beating us on goal difference because of the position they have been in over the season but if we lose out to Grimsby on this it will be unacceptable with the players we have at our disposal. We have IMO the best squad in this league and that is thanks to DC but he has not yet found how to get the best out of them as regards winning games well. We have only 5 games to do it so lets go for it Daryl. The way we play you have to have Blissett up top and then decide who is going to take a chance set up.. Easter or Taylor? Its time to take a bit of a gamble and try to win the game well and not just sneak a win. DC plays the game not to lose but IMO it is about time he realised that the opponents are mainly not that good and we are capable of scoring goals if we set up right and attack teams from the start.

Agreed, but won't happen. Sadly.

Win 5 games and we'll win the league. Simple as that.

I'm not saying we will win all 5 but we have on paper the easier run after yesterday. Anyone who writes us off with 5 games to go must be smoking crack.

Against Aldershot after going 3-1 we reverted to containment when the Shots were there to be thrashed. This may prove to be costly with GD. When an opportunity to score more goals becomes apparent we should try to take it at least. Time has run out to be overly cautious.

Yea, and by going all out we let Aldershot come back to 3-2 with 5 minutes to go we would all have shat ourselves.

I don't think we are capable of scoring lots of goals. We have based our promotion push on being very sound at the back, rather than hitting the net. I would bite your hand off for 5 '1-0' wins.

I think we need to play to our strengths. lets worry about getting points on the board before our goal difference.

We must assume we can all win all 5 and all drop a few points too, its gonna be who finishes strongest. And we have exactly the same chance as Grimsby and Barnet. Theres no real easier run-in for all of us.

If we win all 5 games I honestly think we will finish champions but would be very annoyed if we did win all 5 and lost out on GD to Grimsby who IMO are not in the same class as our team as was shown when we played them at their place.

Considering where we were at the start of the season and where we are now it's quite amazing that we have the confidence to think we can win the next five games. Our run in does look pretty straightforward. If we get all 15 pts and it's not enough then we will take our chances in the play offs. Can we get 15 pts - hell yes!
We now need a ground breaking finish and if we get that with a few goals if we are lucky we can all be singing on the bus. No one is giving up yet on the ground breaking bus.
Can we beat Grimsby on goal difference? Wouldn't thst be a great finish. Would that be ground breaking. Sure would be. Bring it on!

I don't think either Grimsby, Barnet or us will win all of our remaining games. I think the smart money now would be on Grimsby being the current form team. Barnet have the advantage of points in hand, but they are faltering now as are we. We need a upturn in our form to stay in the race imo otherwise the playoffs beckon

Both of them will drop at least another point. Should be ' Both of them will drop at least two points'.

I'm sure we'd all be gutted if we lost out on GD AGAIN (cf. last season!)
BUT for a while now I've had the feeling that we won;t catch the GD of Barnet or Grimsby so it's a question of getting one point clear.
If we win enough matches and they lose/draw a few matches GD won't be of any importance.
And if they match our results we're NEVER going to catch the GD anyway...
BTW - Grimsby had two mad back-to-back wins at the start of the season (6-1 and 7-0). apart from that we've actually done better than them in GD. That's no help of course but it does suggest they don;t generally whop teams.
