Great experience for the lad but this is doing no favours to his rovers carer. It's just a international jolly for these lads they're never going to get results and unless you're in the prem/champ it leaves your team short of numbers. I feel like he would of made more of a impact at rovers this weekend than getting humiliated by Scotland.

All I can say on Jake Gosling is if he is so good, why can't he start a game,as the team is made up of policemen, shopkeepers, and one fellow who played in the Welsh league -all part-timers.

Playing for your national team is a great honour for any player, give him credit for making it on the world stage, it might not be our choice or a brilliant team but I am sure he is very proud of it.

He hasn't had much game time at us to be fair to the lad, who knows, if he had been given more chance he may have contributed much more. Has shown flashes of skill, but very difficult to settle when you only play occasionally ala Ellis.
And for anyone saying he can't be that good cause their team is full of part timers , do i really need to remind you we have struggled against a few teams full of part timers!

I must admit I did cringe a bit at the thought of this Rovers' player being behind policemen, postmen and carpenters in the pecking order. Doesn't say much for us!

I agree but then I thought these actual Gibraltarians (?) see and train with each other much more than Jake would so I'd say they would know their shape/tactics better than Jake.
