We all have a responsibility to try and encourage as many fairweather fans to come to the Mem for the next two games - if 8 goals in two games isn't convincing enough. I have promised to get two workmates drinks in the bar before the game on Saturday and have really talked up how well we played over Easter. That means 4 extra people are coming (two workmates and their kids).
I do not know the break even figure, but if it was approx 10,000 last year (I believe Mr Higgs quoted that in supporters meeting following relegation), so I guess it must be approx 8,000 now, so any extra suppoort on top of that must be welcome both as support to the players and financially for the club.
I imagine the 50/50 will be around the £1,300 - £1,400 mark so thats good for the youth team and the actual winners.
Just get to the ground early, cos there are bound to be the few hundred leaving the pubs at 2.50 and moaning that they don't get in through the turnstyles in 20 seconds. Its obviously the clubs fault if they get to Filton Ave at 2.59 and miss kick off!!

The Chester game was the highest gate in the conference this season wasn't it?? We should beat that against Southport! Utg It'll be beaten against Alfreton but not so sure against Southport. Chester was a bank holiday, and they brought triple the number of fans that Southport will. So realistically you're looking at needing around 8400 home fans, which I don't think I can see happening on Saturday. Might be surprised though. Could even beat the all-time Conference record against Alfreton if we're still in with a shout of the title, because Alfreton have only been given 100 odd tickets and we've got the 'away terrace'.

What is the all time record? 11,963 set by Oxford United against Rushden & Diamonds many moons ago. So we'd have breathing room of selling out all but 40 or so tickets. The away end would worry me, but I reckon they'd make an effort if they still had something to play for.

I think that might have been for a playoff semi final, I think the record for a regular season game is whatever the capacity of Kenilworth Road is, 10 thousand and a bit.

So the highest in the regular season is 10,044. Which should be beaten quite easily on the 25th if there's something left to play for. Would be nice, but unrealistic, for us to beat both though.

Not the best 18th birthday present, but I'm sure, if it was anything like my 18th, by the end of the night you'd have forgotten about the result and probably everything else that happened that night. She still dreams about you, though.
