DC said he selected the team against Kiddy specifically because of the dodgy pitch and a more direct approach. I think Matty T will get a recall on Saturday. Easter on the bench if fit.

I predict 6 changes.

Should be unchanged. No reason whatsoever to change either the formation or the personnel. To drop Blissett after that performance would be totally wrong as he is a focal point and he gives the defenders a real handful.

Main thing now is winning our last 3 games, if DC feels dropping Blisset is the best option then it's not totally wrong if it means we have more chance of winning?

He'll always make two or three at least.

I can see benefits in sticking with the same team, and with making changes. It depends how DC feels we will win the game, but I have no reason to doubt he will get it right either way.

I'd be tempted to put Leadbitter in for Lockyer for this one - purely for the attacking side of his game, against a team that we should be on the front foot against.
As for who partners Ellis (undroppable), I think I'd stick with Blissett, but Taylor will rightfully feel hard done by if he's on the bench again after another goal.
Blissett and Taylor obviously offer us two very different options, so I'm sure it will depend on Southport's defence and what approach DC thinks will work best against them.
Nice decisions to have to make!

Midfield + Puddy, Brown, Parkes pick themselves.
Just a case of Macca/Lockyer, Lockyer/Leads or Macca/Leads
then any 2 of 4 up top. I'd go with Bliss and Harrison seeing as they did so well Monday but wouldn't be surprised or disappointed to see Taylor recalled for Bliss. Harrison should start though.

Bliss and Harrison have to start up front! Only real change that could be made is Leadbitter for Lockyer. saying that Dawson looked a better player with Lockyer behind

Taylor's got 4 goals in the last 4 games at the Mem where we've scored 8 goals in the last two games plus he's got 5 goals in the last 8 games but he becomes droppable as Blissett had the one decent game at Kiddy but still didn't score?

I'd bring Leadbitter back in at right back and let Lockyer challenge for his actual position, him or Macca to partner Parkes, not bothered which one of the 2 tbh, I'd keep the rest the same

It would be crazy to drop Harrison whilst he's in good form. As I perso think Matty T deserves a start in front of Easter. Biggest decision for me is who plays RB? I think at the mem Leadbitter would be a better option.

Dawson's last game at the mem Hopefully Leadbitter will come in for Dawson when he goes back,he can fill that role easily and Dc must be agonising at having to leave him out at the moment, after all he has been so consistent for us since his return to the side.

Nice decisions to have to make! Agree with Leadbetter for Lockyer - he gives us so much more going forwards. Taylor (my player of the season -thus far) should come in up front for Blissett. We ought to use the good surface and play a quick tempo game - i'm sure Southport won't be able to live with it.

Possibly not tall/imposing enough for a CB ? Not mobile enough for full back and not good enough a passer to play in midfield ? May sound harsh to some of you. What do others think ?

Wouldn't be surprised to see Bell-Baggie make a sub appearance on Saturday.
