You'd have to be mad to want to call this one either way!

I've voted no... But I do believe everything hinges on the away games Saturday. If we can sneak a win it will be a fantastic result regardless of what barnet do

I have voted Yes to keep Richertford happy! (but my head is saying Barnet are unlikely to loose a game, but maybe a draw)

It's key we take it to the last game of the season, we score first v Alfreton and the pressure all goes on to them. Actually maybe its better if we score late against Alfreton. If both games are draws late on then maybe Barnet think a point is enough. We score late and give Barnet no time to respond. Probably not best for the collective heart-rate of both sets of supporters.

YES Barnet will mess up on the last game and the gas will score a last minute winner to become champions!

Barnet seem to regularly score early and I was thinking let's try and put the boot on the other foot - will be stressful I know the next two games! To see The Mem celebrating in two weeks time promotion would be absolutley fantastic however we do it.................what a sentimental old fool I am

Cannot see either Kiddie or Gateshead rising to the challenge like we would want them to and although we will win our last 2 league fixtures I'm afraid we will have to get promoted via the exciting route..... exactly how I feel and how I've felt looking at last 5 games. I've always said I really think we are going win our last 5 games, but it looks like we will get 93 points (more than 2 a game!), and still not win the lge, because Barnet will have also won their last 5 games. Sad because we are finally dominating matches, scoring goals, and entertaining people, but has just come a little late. If we had had that spark of creativity at macc we could hold this in our hands. Kiddie - well, people have got to be kidding if they think kiddie are going to be more than a paper curtain in front of the best attack in the league. gateshead - A talented team on their day but nothing to play for, on a long trip south. Assuming Barnet are in a situation where they know a win will get them the title they will win. We have the harder fixtures now anyway. Dover are no push-over team in freefall on and off the pitch [like Kiddie are]. Alfreton may depend on whether they are safe when we meet them.

So I spot this thread and check the results. Its 50% say we go up as Champions and 50% say No. I vote and the percentage saying Yes (Have I ever said no) goes to 51.52%. I agree its mighty close but when its mighty close we all need a cool head and look back at our run and have lots of hope for the future. We continue to give our best shot. As my mother in law once said to me, all you can do is your best. If you do your best and fail, then that is the best you can do. Often, if people truly do their very best, not take second, but aim high and be the best they often win. I continue to believe in better and its great news that 51.52% of gas heads still think we can do it. This belief thing can catch on. The bus is packed. If we had two buses one full of Yes and the other filled with No people and can guarantee who would have the better journey. We will all end at the same destination but the journey would be so much better surrounded by happy, forward thinking, hopeful, positive and expectant people. I feel the no bus might be looking back, not so happy, more fearful, a little bit more negative and people who maybe expect the worse. Together, we might just make it. All aboard. Jump on any bus. Its happy times for everyone! after your 'can we sneak into the play-offs' threads late last season, I think I currently need your opinion like a hole in the head Rich

I think that we'll sneak it on the final day - a reverse in fortune from last season.

If we go top in the last 70 mins it's going to mean Mr Watola will have no plan for next season in league two...

I'm really proud of the club's performances in recent weeks. I've got to a stage where I trust DC and the lads to produce the goods but we're in a position where it could go our way and it could go against us. As long as we continue to give it a real good go and remain positive, we have a good chance of going up whether it's automatic or via the play-offs. Let's concentrate on getting 100% behind the lads and then what will be will be.

This is where we find out whether that point will be useful come the end of the season.

If Barnet will at Kiddy on saturday, the title is thiers. Saturday was the last chance for us, but unfortunatley, Halifax werent up to the job! It been a hell of a season, but too many away draws have proved to be our downfall. Now we have the dreaded play-offs.
