Hi, im the landlord of the Cricketers pub in Dover which is located adjacent to Dover Athletic Stadium, Crabble athletic ground. Due to this we are often the pub of choice for away supporters traveling to Dover. Like all other clubs we look forward to giving a very warm welcome to Bristol Rovers fans when you come down to the match on the 18th. The pub is a large and family friendly with a huge beer garden and we will be well prepared to handle the expected large volume of away fans. On the day there will also be an extra bar in the garden Serving lager cider and real ale and Bbq on all day. The pub will be open form 11am if I can be of any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact me. In a Cider note we are trying our best to get the original Dry Blackthorn in as I understand this is much preferred down your way. Top man! Wish more pub owners would go to this effort. Or at least do their research. The one down the road from Kiddy only found out about the 2600 away following after a copper came in to warn them. To say they were understaffed would be an understatement. Tbf they handled it as well as they could though.

The police always seem baffled and concerned by our numbers away The pub owners always seem unprepared Clubs not releasing enough tickets!
I could go on and on!
How hard can it be to even look at this forum and have a rough guess at the numbers or even better why don't they ring the club!? Another thing that really grinds my gears is the pasty stall behind the blackthorn end! they knew we would have a bumper crowd on Saturday, yet they still have a minimal amount of staff working! The line to get served was a joke.
Anyway rant over, HAPPY MONDAY EVERYONE!!

3 of us staying over so may frequent before and after the game. A switched on landlord well impressed (almost as rare as a decent conference referee! )

Quick question for the friendly landlord (or anyone else with some local knowledge!)
I'm assuming that with our away following being mainly people driving to the ground (Palace being London based probably had more Train travel) that the Rugby Club parking might quickly fill up - where else would you reccomend we should try & park?
many thanks,

If you're earlier enough then Crabble Avenue, Lower Road or Lewisham Road for parking after that you just have to park further afield there's nowhere in Dover with permit parking or anything like that

Just drove past it. It is on the left handside just before you get to the ground. Not far at all.
