For most of us, Barnet winning at Kiddy is inevitable. Kiddy fans' ambitions are a shot on target... I see the bookies have given Barnet odds of 4/5, or 1.8 in decimal terms. Doesn't this seem a bit high? I hope the bookies are right in this case, as they don't give Barnet much of a better chance than a coinflip. I think I'm going to put a sizeable bet on Barnet. Not so much that it would hurt, but enough to dampen any pain for a game in which sods law says they are pretty likely to win. Then again, sods law would really be them failing to win and us not doing the job at Dover. What odds would you make them? We are 2.1 againt Dover (£11 profit for a £10 bet, so £21 back). To win the league, in case anyone was wondering, is 1.57 for Barnet and 2.75 for us. I will admit to having a bet on Barnet, one of the bookies got the odds the wrong way round and I managed to get 2.67 on Barnet (and it's covered with a Rovers bet, obv).

I thought we would both be a really false price because we are both trying to win the league and both playing teams with nothing to play for. With the form Kidderminster are in, you have to think Barnet will beat them. Our game looks tougher.

Isn't it about time someone confessed they've bet on Barnet to win the league? "We win, happy days. They win, at least I get a good drink out of it".
And no, I haven't.

I haven't got a bet on them but my old man, who is a staunch gashead told me Friday that he's put a few quid on them to win the league for exactly that reason.

Partly cus I've already bet on us, some time back at 6/1. I'll win £300 if we do - hence I'm tempted to whack £200 on Barnet and guarantee myself a minimum of a ton either way.

However, that was at the start of the season at 16/1. Reason being that I respected that Martin Allen was a proven manager at a lower level. I also have money on Rovers at 7/1 but I bet that not long after we beat Barnet back in November I think (although will have to check my betting slip). Either way I'm going to collect.

I don't bet against Rovers - superstition I suppose and I don't bet on them - it's bad enough if we lose without adding to the pain.

I think I'll weigh it up and decide tonight. My head says back Barnet with my potential winnings as at least I'll have won a ton which can be used to put towards playoff tickets and hopefully a day out at Wembley should we end up in the playoffs. Especially as I'd still win a ton on Rovers anyway if we did finish as champions (which would make it a very sweet day indeed!). Heart says let it ride; we're gonna do it and £300 to top off the day would be something damn special!

My suggestion: Place a smaller bet that will make a smaller profit if Barnet win and bigger if Rovers do..

Barnet fan here. I put a sizeable sum on Barnet at the beginning of the season, an each way bet at 14-1, but I have to confess that a few weeks ago I also backed Rovers to win at 5-1. I'm sure there must be more Barnet fans who have done the same.

I was taught to count by a bookmaker uncle: 1, 6/4, 2, 5/2, 3, 100/30, 7/2, 4.....took years of schooling to undo the damage!
