That was a chance to win the title, and we blew it. But that is not the end of our non-league story.
What could be the end , however, is a win against Alfreton and a Barnet draw to Gateshead, winning us the league, as Gasheads flood onto the pitch and Saturday is but a distant memory.
Or Barnet could win, and we fail to win the league.
But again, that isn't the end. We will beat ANY team over 2 games, believe it. I don't care about form, this squad of players will recover from the heartbreak and they will get us past whoever dares cross our paths. We are good enough, and we will get to the final. Where 30,000+ Gasheads will inevitably flock to Wembley and, remembering the pain from Saturday, our players will win us promotion back to League Two.
It hurt me like f*ck on Saturday, I must admit I was focussed on Barnet and not the game in front of my eyes. And I can't quite believe what happened still, but now is not the time to give up. We have EVERY chance of getting out of this league yet... we WILL get out of this league. So use Saturday as nothing more than a reminder of the pain we have overcome when we are promoted.
1 game left, or 4 games left, either way, let's destroy whoever dares try to take this from us again and let's get the f*ck out of this league. We do not experience the pain from Saturday again. We win promotion and we banish that memory for good.
DC and these players will not give up, until we are League Two again. So good luck whoever wants to try to stop us because we are going to throw you aside and leave you in the dirt.
