So what's the attendance gonna be, bearing in mind there might be c.40 empty Alfreton seats?

Full credit to all gasheads who will be in attendance this weekend and commiserations to those that were unlucky not to obtain a ticket.... I was lucky enough to get two for me and Mrs 73 but it was very much touch and go at one point if i'm honest.

Mine (reclaimed East Stand away terrace) came in a bloodstained envelope. I know demand was high, but that's a bit much!

Think the capacity for the match is 11,115 so we need Alfreton to bring about 100 from their 148 allocation to beat the conference record (11,065 Oxford vs Woking).

So what's the attendance gonna be, bearing in mind there might be c.40 empty Alfreton seats? given the way the article on the OS is worded it suggests we might hardly be crawling past the previous highest att of 11,065. Which I find bizarre. How can our capacity gone down so much in recent years? It seemed clear from the mansfield home 'sell-out' last season that something was up. www.bristolrovers.co.uk/news/article/going-for-the-record-2417607.aspxConference attendance record in the clubs sights! Bristol Rovers will be looking to eclipse the current Conference record for attendance in a regular season fixture. The current record is held in the Boxing Day fixture between Oxford United and Woking back in 2006 and stands at 11,065. With today's news that Rovers have sold out of their allocation the club eagerly anticipate final figures coming in from Alfreton Town so we can calculate the anticipated attendance. Bristol Rovers would like to take a moment to thank you Gasheads for your fantastic support throughout the season both on the road and at the Memorial Stadium and we hope to see as many of you as possible come 5:15pm Saturday.

Hard to believe Alfreton can't sell 140 tickets for thier most important away match in years?? How can we fail to hammer teams like this every week?

The very same reason that the majority of premier league teams don't hammer the underdogs in the cup competitions, simply put there is a lot that goes towards victory and defeat that excludes the amount of fans a team has, if you haven't noticed that with this season's refs then I would suggest a visit to specsavers

Got two seats in the South Stand, looking forward to it. Told my friend that, as it's the final game of the season, the pasty's will be served by Butlers in the Buff.

Remember when that Luton fan came on here advising us to be humble and take nothing for granted about walking the league because of our number of fans? It's turned out to be good advice over and over again as village teams put us to the sword, so let's not start being tits about Alfreton now.
