My friends, I may have been the only one at the mem this evening to not really care about the Barnet score. I had already conceded that we'll finish 2nd prior to kick off. However, I am proud of the performance this afternoon. But most of all I am proud of how we have bounced back from the darkest day of our history.
Onwards and upwards! I'll see you at Forest Green Wednesday!

Great performance! The players should take maximum credit for continuing to play so well!
Only negative is that we have shown too much respect to some of the teams in this league - especially away from home!
Onwards and upwards!!!

Agree with most of the replies here, althogh i held out hope of a barnet draw, bad reffing gifted barnet the win, ie a corner that wasn't ,and an offside that wasn't which disallowed a goal for gateshead, its the way the cookie crumbles. As I've said elsewhere credit to DC for building a team that have gelled and play for the club and their own pride, especially with loanees turning up to watch today. just a shame we were one win away over the season, still would rather be where we are now than where we were last year

I'll see you at Forest Green Wednesday! yeah, I can see where you are coming from. BUT we all wanted to go up today simply because this could still turn out to a be 'a Luton' where each season they were given hope, and each season they failed! I have the theory that their Board 'got away with it' [i.e. kept the fans on side...just!] because every season they had something to sing and shout about; it wasn't until the end of the 4th season where they were given a proper shake up. the first 3 seasons they got in play-offs. The 4th season they missed the Play-offs, but had that great run in the FA Cup, beating Norwich etc.
