Arrived at the mem at 10:15 this morning to be greeted by a long looking like of people waiting for tickets. Didn't think anything of it as they we're clearly not enough people there to sell out our allocation of away tickets.
However another hour of queuing passed and people a lot further back then me in the line had been given raffle tickets. Meaning that around 200 people from the Middle of the line completely missed out even though we'd been there for a good 2/3 hours!
Complete shambles from the club.

The bloke handing out the tickets just went along the queue. He was already past 300 when he'd got adjacent to the turnstiles. Can't see how he would just miss a section. Were there loads pushing in?

To me, and many others in the queue, it sounded like if you have a terrace season ticket then you need to get your away ticket from the ticket office and not the shop. That was not the case.

From reading various accounts, it seems as though the problem was caused by selling the away tickets from the shop and the ticket office. Some people who had queued for a long time at the ticket office missed out, whereas people who arrived later, but were in a shorter queue at the shop got away tickets?

I think it would be the other way round. When I got there around 9.45 there was no queue at the ticket office but already a healthy queue at the shop.

That is basically what happened, but the majority of fans that arrived early such as myself were waiting outside the shop for ages whilst others turned up at half 11, went to the ticket office and bought the majority of away tickets.

No one at the club knew what they were doing. I was one that didn't manage to get a ticket after arriving at 10:30. Was told when recieving a raffle ticket that meant I would get an away ticket. Instead of logically just selling them in one place they split the tickets. Every member of staff I spoke to told a different story.
Something needs to change with the ticketing situation at the club. So far behind the times.

The thing is anyone could've turned up and claimed one of the raffle tickets they were giving out. They weren't checking if you had a season ticket or anything!

I was one of the first ones there and asked 3 different rovers staff and they all gave me different answers. It was pretty unorganized. I did get tickets for home and away but only after walking back and forth all morning trying to work out what was what.

No excuses, but it was always going to be messy with such a quick turnaround.
Don't really expect much else from a ticketing system where you have to send in your supporters club membership card to get a ticket sent in the post for a normal game.
All valid points for Mr Seymour-Smith to feedback?
On a positive note the information was put up quickly last night on the website though, even if it was misinterpreted by some fans

It's all pretty ametur really isn't it. Paper books/cards and raffle tickets.
Really the season ticket holders who went to the most away games deserve a chance to get a ticket first. A simple point system wold work. I know there isn't really a way to track those who went to pay on the day away games but they should know who has purchased tickets for those all ticket matches. It should all be done online as well with relevant membership numbers (with the system knowing how many points each member has)

always difficult with ticket sales like this damned if they do ,damned if they dont, although tickets imo should have been sold at one place only, not 3 as it appears, also i think these tickets should be first come first served
