Off the top of my head, but didn't Bournemouth sign someone in the Jan transfer window for 4.5 million quid? I can't see them affording that on their gates, so all this talk about the 'small club done good' is nonsense really. They got about £6 million from the sell-on clause from Lallana. Pretty good considering the original deal was only £3000. I had to look that up as I didn't believe you! What an amazing bit of business by the Cherries given that he moved when he was 12.

Fantastic achievment? Fair play? Nah, f**k em! It will all end in tears for them! It wouldn't surprise me to see them back in League 2 in 5 years! How is it right that clubs can continually bankrupt themselves and end up in administration in Bournemouth's case more than once, yet they get rewarded and are allowed to prosper, while clubs who balance the books and try and live within their means are the ones who suffer?

The Russian bloke has put in £15-£20m which for Bournemouth is a lot as you say with their gates etc, but still small in comparison to the Prem teams and other Championship teams
Promotion has just earned them £100m+
But it's not £100m clear profit as they'll have to spend a fair chunk of that on players, unless they want a thrashing each week, which can hardly be enjoyable to watch? Although, unlike Pantsdown, Bournemouth do seem to have achieved success from a decent cash injection. I assume promotion will clear their debts whilst the82er's have wasted £50m!
