You could find a replacement for him. We haven't had such a balanced squad for years. Who would have thought we could have got to Wembley without Easter and Sinclair. One player gets injured and another comes in for that position. Very intelligent management, seems pretty obvious really but Ward etc never achieved it.

I bet Lockyer would end up there, though.

Brown and Lines for me. We'd create about half as much without Brown, and whilst Sinclair, Clarke, Lockyer could move into midfield alongside Mansell, we look 10x more beatable.

Or Gosling. Lines moves wide. Balanta comes into the middle. Or vice versa.

Or Leadbitter goes right wing.

Brown missed 3 games. He was replaced by moving Lockyer to the left and bringing in Leadbitter on the right. It meant that the right became more attacking than the left but as we won two and drew one of those three games it seems to have worked! If we were just to replace one in the same position it would probably be Danny Greenslade who, whilst not having appeared in the quarters yet, was getting rave reviews at Truro.

If we lost Lines I'd play Clarke or Lockyer and then get Taylor to play in the hole to act as a link player. I suppose Monkhouse could always play in the middle but he's hardly impressed in that role.

Isn't Greenslade a left back?

Isn't Greenslade a left back? Not sure you can really count him Paul. Anyway, Lockyer would go at LB and Leadbitter at RB.

re OP.
How about a right winger (NOT a right midfielder)
Or a Left winger if we wanted to play a left winger (NOT a left midfielder)

Since Tom Lockyer replaces everyone, who replaces Tom Lockyer? The mighty Leds to fill right back any other position is cheating as I said one player so don't cheat

We had an amazing run with Sinclair in the side with Mansell. Don't get me wrong, Lines has been excellent but don't write off the achievements of ours with Sinclair in the side, we wouldn't be in this position. One of the players of the season. We needed a player as good as Lines to feel the short and bearded sized hole left.
