What a difference to last year having 50-60k in there, instead of under 20k. Check the video below and compare the crowd to 2007, which was 61k.
Also gives those a chance in the lower tier to see what view they can expect

To be fair, Cambridge had already been to Wembley that season in the FA Trophy, and obviously Gateshead weren't going to take many. I'd say 21k is quite impressive from those two when you consider that Wrexham and Newport took 16k the year before - neither team had been to Wembley at that point if I recall.
Agree though, anywhere between 50-70k (probably dependent on how many Grimsby take, their numbers are quite unpredictable at times) will be excellent.

How many are Grimsby realistically expected to bring?
Only got just over 6k at their play off home game.

Anywhere between 15k and 25k would be my guess.
Having said that, our numbers our difficult to gauge. Maybe 'novelty factor' was important in 2007? I'd still guess at around 35-40k, but its possible that it will be between 30 and 35k.

Not even that! 10k would have been about accurate, and I think it seriously would have made the league question whether Wembley was the right option.

I thought Blundell park was bigger than that as well. Only 9,000 capacity. TBF I think they really are a sleeping giant though. They've had years of failure, and a few near misses. Probably has jaded them a lot. They will mobilise for the final I think. VERY expensive day out though.

They had a sell out at Christmas against Lincoln I think - 8,000 or so (not sure Lincoln took their full allocation and that says a lot about them). Grimsby had some gaps in surprising areas on Sunday ie not just segregation

Looking at the sparse crowd in that vid is actually quite depressing; I think I'd rather the game be held in a prem ground if the attendance wasn't above 40k - which thankfully it will be (and more) for our game!!! :-)

Probably be a new ground for most of us too. 30k each, atmosphere would be better too.
