Very expensive sounding, all these. Just choose Preston Road or Northwick Park (1 and 2 stops north of Wembley Park) on the Metropolitan Line. Park up and get the tube. Loads and loads of quiet side streets, lots of spaces, free on a Sunday, 5 mins to Wembley. Or pay £16 quid to park a stone's throw away from the ground with no extra costs. Apart from the £16 you've coughed up and the congestion leaving Wembley area. Your choice mate, but it's a no-brainer for me. Park 5 mins tube ride away for free and avoid the cost and hassle.

Well the cost is similar when you've paid the tube and at least I won't be in a car park, there's a fairly main road near where I'm parking. Planning to go for something to eat in Wembley before I leave anyway.

Good for you. I don't want a bloody argument about it. I was just suggesting an alternative to help people who might be interested.

Anyone travelling by train and tube and taking the kids, don't forget that Family Rail Tickets are valid on the underground as well as the train and that can save you a fair bit. I hope it's a great game with the right result.

That is a top tip - as far as I can see you don't need to register, if you have a contactless payment card you can just touch it on the Oyster reader and get the Oyster prices which are a lot cheaper.

For the 2007 final we had a minibus going from the Crown Inn in Churchill. We paid a shithead to drive the bus so we could get on the ales properly. This strategy comes highly recommended - he didn't come in to the ground, we just paid him peanuts to sit and wait for us in the minibus nearby for the duration and then gave him a massive amount of banter all of the way home after we won. Might not work out so well if we lost but an excellent plan nonetheless if you can find a sufficiently willing/gullible ted.

Last time we were at Wembley I parked at Ickenham and there was a hell of a lot of gas drinking on the high street. Parking was free and easy with straight forward tube to the stadium. Really can't be bothered with the hassle of driving in and out of Wembley. Are there any others planning on utilising Ickenham or Ruislip pubs and station?
