On the flip side I wonder what Reading's fan excuses are for having such a poor away following, it's hard to believe we're taking more away from home than them given our league status and location. did you ever go to Elm park? The Oxford English Dictionary actually uses it as a descriptive example of the word 'Shithole' What I mean is that their fanbase is not that 'deep' and historic really. yes, nice new stadium and recent success, but I went to Uni there and it never struck me as a very sporty town. More a commuter town. Also, it's full of Chelsea

Pretty sure I did go to Elm Park in the decent past but I can't recall much about my visit! Even the Olly/Mad dog spat at the Majeski seems a long time ago.

Cool stats clausewitz. Chesterfield and Oldham suprise me. Also the teds have an impressive figure. Chesterfield and Oldham have a lot of localish games, the same as Bradford, Barnsley and Preston. City have had their best season for decades, and had 5,000 and 4,000 big away days at MK Dons and Coventry. Plymouth have always had brilliant away support, apart from Exeter, all their away games are over 150 miles away.

It really is second to none.

I also used to live in Staines & Hounslow and you get a lot of Chelsea and Arsenal there, and even west ham

You may find this link of interest: www.nonleaguematters.co.uk/global/attendances/NB: Guiseley (no.49 - 564 att.) and Boreham Wood (no. 105 - 327 att.) arrived in the Conference yesterday via the Play-Offs. What better incentive to get out of this damned division!
