A bit tired of all the Wembley threads, so let's do a football one.
.........................Puddy....................... Leadbitter......Parkes......McC.......Brown Gosling......Mansell...Lines....Monkhouse .............Harrison........Taylor...............
Mildenhall, Lockyer, Clarke, Balanta, Blissett
Looks fairly balanced, and a nice bench. Only decisions really are Mildy v Puddy, and DC will play Puddy. Leadbitter v Lockyer, I think DC will go for Lockyer, but I nominate Leadbitter to take advantage of the fabled wide open spaces of Wembley. And Harrision v Blissett. I think we must be able to trust Harrison to do the job, right?

what I have liked best about the last few games is the settled team we have had (apart from one suspension).
I think this should remain the same with Ellis coming straight back in.

If DC starts with Ellis then it must be on the strict understanding that if he gets booked then hes off straight away. Personally I think Blissett did enough to start next week and would start with him and Taylor. As regards Lockyer I have no doubt that he will start.

What happens if he get's booked in the first min? You would take him off?

I'll be amazed if this isn't the starting line up...
Puddy Lockyer McChrystal Parkes Brown
Gosling Mansell Lines Monkhouse
Taylor Harrison
Not worth predicting the bench as that will pick itself unless Sinclair is back then one will miss out.

I'd love for Leadbitter to start ahead of Lockyer but it's 100% not gonna happen

If Grimsby are very quick up front like I've hesrd then Lockyer might struggle as he does seem to against quick wide men. Leadbitter would therefore maybe be a better choice. I'd be surprised if he changes the back 5 though.

I would play Lockyer. Would be gutted for lad after the season he has had.

If he gets booked in the first minute then hes even stupider than I thought. Yes I would take him off whether it was the first minute or 10 minutes from the end. You just can't afford to have a player sent off on a big pitch like Wembley. If you go down to 10 players there then the game is as good as lost.

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but he's only been sent off once, correct? Jeez it's not as if he's getting sent off every other week. If he does get booked it doesn't mean he's automatically going to get a second.

He kicked an opposition player who was on the ground when already on a booking against Southport (Apr 11) and miraculously escaped a second booking.

I would play Lockyer. Would be gutted for lad after the season he has had. Lockyer would be incredibly unfortunate to miss out after the season he's had, playing 47 games across 4 different positions, and never letting us down. He also popped up with the winner away at Grimsby, which at the time was a vital goal.

I think the "big Wembley pitch" is a bit of a myth guys.
As some people on our forum have pointed out already recently,
Wembley pitch: 115y x 75y Blundell Park pitch: 111y x 75y
So the the only difference between the Wembley pitch and the one GTFC play on at home, is that it's only 2 yards longer at each end.

I think the "big Wembley pitch" is a bit of a myth guys. That's why I said 'fabled.' Psychologically, though, it's a big pitch.
