Ok, so I have got myself a 5 x 3ft Union Jack for Wembley, and I have found a shop that will print something on it for me. Now I just have to decide what to get on there?! I was thinking just 'Bristol Rovers', but that might be a bit boring. Any ideas?

It's not a union jack . It's a union flag, unless your planning on taking a fookin ship to wembly I'm 100% with you on this. However when I got watered off with an Aussie radio station calling it the Union Jack I thought I'd better check before sending them an email. Bit too early in the morning for me to go and find exactly what I read but..... The claim that the term Union Jack properly refers only to naval usage has been disputed, following historical investigations by the Flag Institute in 2013.[4][5][note 2]

The Flag Institute sound like an exciting bunch. They are an important bunch. Flags are a big deal and have been for hundreds of years, especially if you take to the seas.

i will stick with using the term flag, as wikipedia isnt the most correct of sites , one other thing that really really winds me up is how often the flag is displayed upside down, it's really easy to remember the correct orientation, the fat white stripe always goes to the top on the hoisted side, it drives me mad when you see people waving thier small flags which were made upside down, or even worsr when the flaf is officially flown the wrong way up, to me it's a disrespect to all the brave souls who have protected us over the years, will stop now as i feel a rant coming on, not aimed at anyone
