According to toteend on t'other forum, Stuart Sinclair (25 y/o midfielder from DC's former club, Salisbury) has joined us and was taking part in pre-season training earlier today.
Must confess, I've never heard of him, but DC should know more than enough about to him to know whether or not he'll do a job here and at this level so I'll trust his judgement.
I imagine it will be announced officially on Twitter etc a little later today?
EDIT: Now confirmed via official club Twitter.

After Matt Harrold left we fell below the FA's minimum Ginger levels. Double points for Ginge Beard.

Hope he does well but a bit underwhelmed by this. It seems FGR got the better brother.
We are a long, long, long way off a promotion team. If 2 or 3 quality signing don't arrive before the start of the season then we will struggle.

An independent look at our new signing: Scout report on Stuart Sinclair of @salisburyfc – dedicated, box-to-box, pacey. Extended report below, and more reports to come! Stuart Sinclair is an interesting player for me to do a scout report on. I initially intended to write a report on one of his teammates, but the more I saw of Stuart, the more he overshadowed the player I had longly intended to write about. Through research, I have gathered that he could be one of those players that have just been unlucky to find themselves down in the 5th tier of English football. Prior to that, he was residing in the Evostik Premier League before impressing in an early FA Cup tie, which reeled him up to the Skrill Premier. Based on what I have seen, Sinclair has always occupied the right wing, though research concludes that Stuart can naturally adapt himself in both wings and all other midfield roles. Again, based on what I’ve seen of him on the wing, Stuart is an eye-catching individual through his sheer pace and work rate. Physically, at first glance, I would presume that Sinclair would struggle to cope with the hostile nature of the game in non-league football; but I would be wrong. Stuart is evidently an intellectual individual with the use of his body and is capable of shielding the ball well – despite his slight frame. Again, regardless of his size, Stuart’s work rate ultimately drags him in and around his own box at times, and he isn’t scared of charging the ball down to help out defensively. His speed could be the most striking aspect of Sinclair’s game, and uses it very well with his outstanding work rate; in view of the fact that he is always on the scene. Technically, I believe that Sinclair is first-rate off the ball, and knowing what to do when he is on the ball. One weakness I could note with Stuart would be his tendency to go to ground on occasion. He isn’t a full-fledged ‘diver’ on the pitch – I just can’t help but notice that he is smart enough to know when to fall, which to be fair, does work for his team a lot. I expect Sinclair to develop some more, and I someday hope to see how he could register his game in a higher division. A potential star for the future from what I have seen. Summary Report Personal Age: 26 Position: All Midfield Positions Height (approx): 5’7″ Build: Lean Past clubs: Arlesey Town, Luton Town (Trainee) Physical (out of 10) Strength: 5 Reactions: 8.5 Jumping: 4 Speed: 10 Endurance: 9 Work Rate: 10 Technical First Touch: 8.5 Weaker Foot: 7 Passing: 7.5 Heading: 4.5 Dribbling: 9.5 Decision Making: 9 Tackling: 7.5 Tactical Attacking: 9 Defending: 8 Corners (attacking/defending): 6.5 Free Kicks (attacking/defending): 6.5 Psychological Courage: 9 Confidence: 9 Motivation: 10 Concentration: 10 Communication: 6.5 Temperament: 7.5 www.scouting4.com/stuart-sinclair/

Cantankerous, you seem to know a lot about both brothers. So if we got the wrong one, how come the one we got has been Salisburys player of the year for the last two years, and DC also prefers this one?
How many times have you seen either or both playing?

Cantankerous, you seem to know a lot about both brothers. Where did I say that? I didn't. A Salisbury fan told me he thought the younger brother had the potential to play at a higher level. Time will tell. Either way we still need a couple of quality signings to avoid another disastrous season.

You posted that 'it seems FGR got the better player' .
It's a bit disingenuous to now say it was someone else's view. Why didn't you say that initially? The implication was that you knew that to be the case.
As you know no more than me about them, I suggest we let them play and then make up our own minds
