Hey I am not questioning our loyal fans I am chuffed to bits we are going to Wembley I just thought that when we got there my first reaction was we would take 40000 thousand like last time and Grimsby would have around 25000
.W e are the best 2 supported teams in the division perhaps I should of wrote my first piece differently I guess my question is why are fans not going do you think?

Just because we had 40k in 2007, doesn't mean we get 40k every time we get to Wembley.
If we met Arsenal in the FA cup final at Wembley, we might attract 60k. If we met Canvey Island in the Vanarama Vase Cup, we might attract 10k. If the final was £25 per ticket. If it was £70. Sold by the club rather than SEE. Easier to get to. On a Saturday. Our 4th Wembley trip in 25 years. 2nd visit to new Wembley. Disillusioned supporters. Lost generation to South Brizzle. On tv. More people work 7 days or unable to juggle working week due to tighter finances.
Off the top of my head. Rather than where have 18k gone?! No excuses, just reasons, and these reasons have come up in convo with people that aren't going.

Different groups, different make ups. Of the three people who came with me in 2007...
One passed away One was a Leeds fan who moved away since One can't affford to go this time, and he was going to bring three others.

One passed away One was a Leeds fan who moved away since One can't affford to go this time, and he was going to bring three others. Similar story I went with three others last time. We were two exiled (Sussex) Rovers fans, one Celtic fan with family in Bristol so Rovers being his second team, and a Plymouth fan. As far as I am aware none of us are attending this time. Last time we were swept along by the amazing run we were on following the Millenium final. There was the attraction of two finals in one season at two superb venues, the fact that we were one of the first "big" games at the new Wembley. This year, for me personally, the pressure and risk of failure would make the day far less enjoyable, so I'm not going (and I have a longstanding weekend away booked that I've been looking forward to). Many others that went along last time were probably neutrals and friends of Rovers fans that went along for the novelty of the new stadium. Some perhaps went along earlier this season for the city game as I'm sure there are a significant number of people that would go for either Bristol club, and they've done that already this season.

We haven't had any kind of update from Vanarama for a few day's, and even when we did they were very vague and apart from an update that said we had apparently sold tickets at a 2.4:1 ratio in our favour, we were never told the actual amount of tickets we had sold.
So it was just down to guesswork.
I am going to take a wild stab in the dark and say that we will have sold 32,000 and Grimsby 13,000.
But let's not get carried away with it, in the grand scheme of things, does it really matter?
All that matters is that we win on Sunday.

The entire bottom and middle tiers plus half the top tier must equal at least 28-30,000, so logic would dictate thats how many weve sold. However apparently the gasheads who got tickets in the nuetral zone are being told to swap them for the second tier meaning their must be seats left, and after just looking at see tickets you can now buy up to 14 tickets in top tier blocks wed apparently already sold!? So who bloody knows

25000 was my initial thoughts on how many we would take to this "event" for many reasons but I am now convinced it will be nearer 30,000 and maybe just over that amount which in my mind is a pretty good show taking everything into account. Remember at the end of the day this is a 5th tier event with at least League 1 or 2 prices and these Wembley events have always been a family affair and that means probably three or four of the family going. I think this time because of prices there will be a lot less parties of 4 attending and a lot more not taking their other halves and siblings because it is a very expensive day out. Remember as well that 2007 there were a lot more in a far better financial position than we as a country are in now so something has to go and for many football is a luxury. Some will say why did City take 39000? Well the fact is they have a 7000 start and I think this is the aspect that nobody have referred to. We have roughly 3000 Season Ticket holders and they have 10,000 and that is the base from which you start. They are League 1 going into the Championship,we are League 5 possibly going to League 2!! I think we can be proud if we take anywhere near 30000 because I am sure if City had been in our position they would nowhere near have matched our crowds this season and anyway at the end of the day DOES IT MATTER? The result is the only real thing that is important.

We don't need to start comparing supporter numbers with them do we? 30k turnout for us is brilliant. Well over 4 times our home average.

As it has been said before, what was the average gate at trashton when they were in Div 4? I was watching an old video last night of highlights of our 2-0 win at Trashton back in 1995 when Beadle scored both goals. Apparently City's last home attendance before that game was 6,700. That was in League One. When City were in Division 4 barely 1,000 turned up at Ashton for a game against Chester.

Lol, easy tiger. Thing is, we have sold more than 25k haven't we? I was just jesting with that anyway. No matter the outcome of a particular event, people show up and claim the prize!
